Has anyone had a similar experience? Do you have any thoughts or advice? We divorced ~13 years ago. Ex wife moved out of state when daughter was ~2y/o and I maintained 1 week summer visits until my (only child) daughter was ~11 y/o. 1 week was all I could get from mom; very difficult. Very manipulative, even on daughter. Daughter stopped visiting, talking on phone or answering any card, letter or email immediately after the last visit ~3-1/2 yrs ago. During entire time I continued child support (~$1,000/month) and kept up regular cards, letters and emails to daughter, none answered. I refuse to spend time in court with mom and continued pattern described above. I really want a relationship with daughter but find myself shut out. I try not to let it worry me, but I find that hard. I found a Myspace page of my daughter and her and her friends pages are full of drugs, alcohol, sex and foul swearing language. Daughter is 15-1/2 y/o. She is getting great grades, most all A's.

Ok, basically my sister has been with the same guy for very nearly 5 years, but the other day she asked ME if I thought she loved him. The thing is that he has told her he wants to get married and have kids but if they have a row he says he'd never marry or have kids with her and it's really confusing her.

She met another guy who's only a friend but he tells her that she's beautiful and deserves better etc etc. She told me the other day that she can't even remember the last time her bf told her she was beautiful.

If I tell her she should leave him, she might still love him and regret it for the rest of her life. If I tell her to stay and try to work it out, he could keep messing with her head, never get anywhere, and in the meantime she could have had a really good relationship.

I don't want to give her the wrong advice because I obviously don't want her hurt, but I really don't know what I can tell her that might help.

Also, add to the scenario that I asked you before whether you liked me, but you said no. After that talk, we grew much closer as friends.

I am in my late fifties, attractive and in good shape. What is it with the guys on dating services who email me because they like older women? I have old-fashioned values and grew up in a different generation then they did. Sex wasn't as loose then as it is now. This isn't a joke. I am looking for psychological theories, besides the obvious.. looking for a mother figure.

My girlfriend and I are both 19 and we were dating for a little over a year. We had an absolutely awesome relationship, and everyone thought we were the perfect couple. 2 nights ago she came out and said she isn't in love with me. I kind of forced it out of her with questions, but she said she doesn't want to break my heart because she doesn't think she's in love with me. I adore this girl, and I want to know if there's anything I can do to try to win over. She's the sweetest girl anyone I know has ever met. Any input will be appreciated.

My husband has done this thing over and over again since we were married. It's been four years. He takes loans out without telling me and hides the money. He let's me believe that his paychecks are really low and takes the extra cash and stashes it where I can't find it. He let's me believe that we have like no money and I stress about the bills and the budget and the whole time he has this money and doesn't tell me about it. I offer to let him be in charge of paying the bills and he STILL takes a loan out without telling me and hides the money from me. Why? Is there something more to this or is he just a money-freak? What should I do about it? What can I do?

....and not single men. and then continue to do so after they have agreed to back off. I have tried talking to her, others have talked to her when she has done this before to other guys. Even the guy is not interested, but she continues. But she won't change. I don't know what to do.

My husband has cheated me many times. He has had various physical relationships with women. He keeps leching at woman even when I am around me. I hv 2 children. I have been to counsellors many times. I have taken him too. He vouches he will not do it. But it repeats. I don't trust him. But I am not earning good. I hv decided to use him for his money, to bring up my kids. But I am scared, since I have a daughter too. He views prono stuff all the time on his laptop. He has many CDs burnt of this stuff. He even reads stories like dad sleeping with daughter. I have no support, as my parents are no more & my sibling is not close to me. Ours was a love marriage. Any suggestions? He does'nt take any interest in bringing up our kids, but provides for us & never beats me. I have tried my best to make it work. Now, though its suffocating, I want to remain married for the sake of the kids (financially) I mean. Any suggestions

Are they scared or feel insecure deep down? Is it just in their nature and we should accept it or are they actually hiding something?

My fiancee was dianosed with stage 4 cancer at the age of 30. He has beaten this horrible disease and believe me as long as he is healthy I dont care if we ever have sex again. We havent had sex in over a year- he has been clear of his cancer for 8 months- Thank God! He says that he just doenst feel like having sex. Again- I dont care as long as he is healthy. But my only problem is that I am scared that he isnt attratced to me. I took care of him thru his illness and did things that I never thought I would do in the bat of an eye- because I love him so much. Does anyone have any advice on how I should feel (not just to be thankful that he is healthy because trust me I AM!)... Thank you so much and congratulation to all the future brides and grooms of 2007!

I've know her for over 10 years and I work with her hubby, who is also a friend. I met her at one of our work's Xmas parties and we hit if off straight away and meet up at least once a week.

I found out just before the New Year that her hubby has been having a fling (for the last few months) with one of the young girls that works in our office. How on earth do I handle this, I'm having sleepless nights worrying about it.

The situation is so complicated because my friend has just had a baby (after trying for many years) and is over the moon, hubby is actually been very sweet and intentive towards her and the baby, but I know what he is up to behind her back.

HELP! xx
