your job title has NOTHING to do with who you are or how a relationship will turn out.

I don't think the personality types of those careers make any difference but the job demands for both of those careers can be extreme. Doctors work very long hours and are on call 7x24 a lot of times. Engineers have deadlines and often have to travel and be away from home for days to months at a time. The spouses in these type of circumstances must be very mature and 100% committed to the relationship.

Your job doesn't really impact the success of a marriage....it really depends moreso on the type of people you two are...based on your professions it sounds as if you are both analytical people and are both detailed oriented...although typically women have a tendency to be more detailed oriented than us men...if you can put up with you both being analytical and detailed oriented it shouldnt be a problem...

I don't think that your chosen careers have anything to do with a successful marriage unless both of you are devoid of any other personality traits

Marriage is according to love, no longer on professions. you are going to be the President of the rustic and yet your companion could be a nuclear scientist and make it artwork. as a fashion to make the marriage artwork, you the two ought to understand and admire yourselves first, and then your expert household projects. yet love is what keeps a marriage effectual. as long as there is love marriage could succeed.

I don't see why your careers are relevant.

If you were, say "Army General" and "Porn Star" I would maybe have some ideas, but you are two educated professionals. My wife and I are too. The rules are the same as anyone else.

OMG, everyone knows these marriages are only 43% successful as all other marriages.

It isn't about the professions. Its about the personalities. It is also about whether both personalities are solid, well adjusted, emotionally mature, individuals.
