I have been with my BF for 2 years now. We have a great relationship, he treats me very well and I never doubt the fact that he loves me. However, his mom disapproves of our relationship. His dad died and his mom is a stroke victim & very weak. He took me to visit her several times but it always ended ugly with her yelling & tell me to get out of her house, etc... due to my race/religion. He used to be rebellious but ever since his dad died, he feels guilty that he never spend enough time with him. So with his mom health being a problem, he afraid he might lose her too so he would never argue back with her or do anything that might upset her, he usually just take me away. He try to be considerate of both sides & I love him for that. However, if friends ever ask about our future plans, he intentionally avoid the subjects. We talked about it & he said he doesn't want to upset his mom cause she's the only family he has left & if anything happen to her, he won't forgive himself.

This girl is very decent & simple as far as i know, and she secretly looks at me during classes, during bus journeys, etc. And she lives near my house. My friends say she is a weird kinda girl, and is completely opposite to my persona. But somewhere in my heart i feel she is pretty and sweet. I dont know what to do.

I really want to go to Japan for the summer because i can't go to my grandparents, cousins, or friends. I really don't want to stay home and i ahve always wanted to go to Japan. I asked my parents and they took it as a joke. How can i convince them i'm serious and to let me go? I've looked up hotels and they are actually pretty cheap. I did the research on the "dangers of the big city" and everything. They still take it as a joke. I understand why they might worry, because of my age (13), but i truly want to go. I tried telling them I'd stay in the Hotel and hang out there but they still aren't convinced. Please help me.

I am a SAHM to 3 kids. I've been married for 10 yrs. I've been home for about 8 of those years. I am tired of being with my money-controlling, constantly angry so we all walk on eggshells when he's home, won't help me with anything husband. After this long haul, I am too tired to deal with him anymore. I have tried telling him that I need some loving (we rarely have sex - like 3x a year), and I try to really communicate with him, but he doesn't care or is uninterested. He refuses to go to councelling. I am currently looking for work, but I can't even find a job that will cover the daycare expense. He refuses to help with that because "I'm choosing to work". We are struggling money wise, everything I spend is micromanaged and I'm DONE. I would rather be poor with my kids than have a husband who is not there for me at all. How do I file when I have NO money to work with. I also want to add that I have no where to go either. No family, no friends to help, etc. It's just me and the kids.

I am 33 weeks pregnant. My ex-boyfriend and I have been apart since October. For a while, I was clinging to the hope that we would be back together ... over this past week I have finally accepted that we will not.

I have recently met a nice man who wants very much to take me out on a date. He is mature, attractive, and interested in me. I know that I am not over my ex, but it is the holidays and its very hard to be alone. If I have explained my situation to this other man and expressed that I want to move slowly, is it wrong for me to go out with him, knowing that I am still in love with someone else?

I'm 25. I've never had a girlfriend or been on any real dates. I'm a very sociable, outgoing guy. My only downfall is that I tend to talk a lot and I overthink about situations. I have gone through phases where being single has bothered me and at other times I dont' think about it at all. Nowwdays, I find that i"ve fallen back into that space where I feel desperate. Where I'm looking, hoping to find someone. This, then gets my mind all worked up and I start to worry about things, and when I worry I complain a lot to my friends. I make a big deal out of nothing. At my age, I should know by now that the more I yern for companionship the harder it will be to find it (most people say when they aren't looking, thats when it happens) but yet I keep doing it.
Long story short: I think about getting a girlfriend constantly knowing that it's just a desperate act that needs to stop. My question is how?

am a twenty three year old woman with a nearly two year old child i am a single mother. When i was pregnant with my daughter her father walked away and told me she wasnt his. At the time i was thinking it was a good thing becuase he was heavily (and i think still is ) into drugs. apart of me wants to be a family with him again but apart of me KNOWS better. we argued alot. and now he quit calling alltogether. He hasnt payed support for her at ALL. He met her when she was allready six months old and hasnt seen her since and in three months shell be two years old. Well I am (20 years old) and tonight I was at home listening to some jazz music and drinking when my door bell rang. I answered the door to find it was my neighbors mother in-law (57 years old) Who is there for the holidays. She was asking to borrow some eggs for some kind of holiday desert she was baking. I invited her in and while I retrieved the eggs from the fridge. Well we got talking and she decided to stay for a Christmas drink. Well one thing lead to another and before you know it we had polished off a 6 pack of beer. "Helen" said thank you and reached to give me a kiss..well one thing lead to another and ..you guess it we ended up in the bed and made love...I guess it was her enchanting way about her..that seduced me. I usually am strong willed..but NOT tonight...I am in a lot of trouble...I have a party to go over at my neighbors house on Sunday evening with my wife and I am sweating bullets. How will I explain this if this gets out to my neighbor?

i was going out with a girl for 2.5 years after around a year i did not want to be with her but didnt know how to break up with her. we broke up i didnt talk to her for 3 months then she got a boyfriend and i not sure if developed feelings or jealousy. she tells me all the things he does i didnt, but she would still call me like everynight till i said i loved her. was me saying this love or jealousy cause i never acted like this when we dated only after i found out she had a boyfriend. i never thought about her in the time we were broken up but since she got a boyfriend and like tells me all the things he does i have some kind of feelings. i know how much she lvoed me when we dated cause she said she wanted to marry me, but now does not think like that since we broke up about with anyone.

My brother in law has been living w/ us for about 6 months and working for my husband (his brother) and going home to Al. on the weekends to his wife and kids. He has rented a house 3 doors down and after spending christmas w/ her family today they have moved up (ky) here. What can I do to help her feel more secure? This the first time she has ever left her family and she was from a VERy small town in AL. I really want her and the kids to feel at ease. Any suggestions? They will be spending Christmas day w/ us.

Basically these two writers came to the conclusion that if a man is not chasing you or they are not calling every minute then the man is 'Just not in to you.'

I say some men are less aggressive and you should not write them off.
