Try the knot.com or modernbride.com, they both have dress guides. You can also try googloing dress fitting guides. I'm the same body type, just more booty and less boobies. I already know to avoid those huge poofy gowns because I'd look huge. Empire waist also isn't a good idea. I do reccommend strapless if your breasts are small - average. As for me, I'm gonna do a sheath and play up my hips and booty... but then again, I'm marrying a black guy. And like everyone else said, try on different styles. I strongly suggest staying away from anything huge though!

Try on hundreds! Most wedding dresses are so corseted that there is no such thing as a tummy. and most have such puffy skirts you can't see your butt at all. But really you have to try on even what you think you aren't interested. (I'd limit by color first, season second--dont want long sleeves in June--and not by dress style at all) Then after you've seen yourself in 3 different slinky Grecian gowns you might decide you hate that and are more traditional. After you try on 3 different embriodered, beaded gowns, you might decide you like a plainer style. But you have to try on even what you at first think You can't wear.

Go to the store and try on a lot of different styles of dresses. from your description of yourself, I would start with A-line gowns. Gowns that gather at the waist are really flattering for a belly. And make sure you try on different neckline styles. the neck line can make a huge difference in how a gown fits.

You probably want to play up your shoulder area, so I would consider a strapless gown (the neckline draws your attention up) or sleeves that are "off the shoulder", anything that will draw the attention up. I would also try an "a-line" dress as it is very forgiving around the mid-section area.

You go into a bridal shop and try on as many as you can. Chances are the ones you say absolutely no to on the hanger will do you the most justice. Take guidance from the assistant, normally they are quite honest in bridal shops as they see you as an advertisement for their shop and the service you got. Have fun.

Your best bet would be to go to the bridal shop and try on as many different styles as you can to see what flatters you the most. You should also bring a friend that isn't afraid to tell you the truth.

Try on all the styles in the store until you find something flattering that you like. What you love in the magazine pics won't look the same on you at all. You can't tell what anything looks like when it's still on the hanger.

hummm ... First, decide what type of body you are: (probably one of these)
PEAR: which is a girl who is bigger at the lower portions of your bod :) (hips are most dominate) *stick to a ball-gown dress, simple features
Popsicle Stick: Lenghtly legs, arms, torso and neck, with weight destrubed pretty much evenly. *stick to dresses that can give you flattering curves, hips-waist-chest-sholders...area. Try interesting straps, not strapless. Halter wouldn't be the best of choices unless you can fill it out. Try a dress with a top like "Cinderella"'s dress (the movie with Brandy). that flatters this type.
Strawberry: Bigger upper body, with thinner legs ("Broad-sholder" types too) *I'd stay in the dresses that balance out the upper and lower parts of your body, but try not to get anything huge...you want to actually be able to dance with your groom!!! :o)
Athetic: bulky thys, sholders, and hips...overall strengh in body's character *Halter top-dresses to well with this type of body. Also, I've seen girls with this type of body that wear thicker speggetie straps, it looks great!!!
..the point is just to characterize yourself in one of these body types, THEN decide on a dress... SO, we know you've got a stomach, and thats fine- what girl doesn't!???! :) so, focus on features you want to bring out..do you have a nice back? Or do you have longer legs? (longer legs means long train... it brings out length in your body).
Off of what you've posted, I'd say to go with a simple gown, classy, with a wide neckline and a lower-cut chest area (but still very modest)...show just your sternm area...Also, try to find a dress with some kind of design or embrodery on the "empire line" which is just under the chest...no matter your size of waist, or chest- this will do wonders. BELIEVE ME ..at least try it on!!! Oh, and the bustle will do wonders for your waist and your butt!!! *majic!* Try a satin gown, with a corset to give you a flattering and fogiving hourglass figure. try to keep the intricit designs chest/neckline/slightly off the sholders areas...because that will draw attention to thoes areas. Make sure to try on plenty of dresses too. Because even if you don't like the ENTIRE dress, you may still pick up on a flattering feature of the dress! :)
:o) have fun!!!
