My brother in law has been living w/ us for about 6 months and working for my husband (his brother) and going home to Al. on the weekends to his wife and kids. He has rented a house 3 doors down and after spending christmas w/ her family today they have moved up (ky) here. What can I do to help her feel more secure? This the first time she has ever left her family and she was from a VERy small town in AL. I really want her and the kids to feel at ease. Any suggestions? They will be spending Christmas day w/ us.

the anwser to your question that you are asking is this treat her as part of the family and make her and the kids fell loved and welcome and everything will fall in place ok,i know it will be hard at first for her and the kids being around strangers but before you know it you wont be strangers anymore you'll be one happy family ok,just put your trust and faith in god and he will show you the way ok,well let me know how it go;s ok and i wish you the best of luck

I don't think it is your responsibility to do that. Her hubby needs to try and make her realize it is alright and put the security in her life. If you feel you need to, just talk to her, one day she will realize hopefully she will be a-okay.

Be her friend, be there for her. Let her know how welcome she is in your home. Just be a consistent friend and she will see she isnt alone.
