That is the name of a book that was written several years go by the man and woman who wrote for the tv show Sex in the city.
Basically these two writers came to the conclusion that if a man is not chasing you or they are not calling every minute then the man is 'Just not in to you.'
I say some men are less aggressive and you should not write them off.
What you say????

LET ME ADD.
FIRST OF ALL, THE SATC WRITERS ARE NOT RELATIONSHIP EXPERTS BY ANY MEANS.
OF COURSE IF A GUY IS IGNORING YOU OR DOESN'T RETURN YOUR LAST 2 PHONE CALLS IT'S TIME TO MOVE ON, BUT THE IDEA THAT MEN HAVE NO EMOTIONAL DEPTH IS CRAZY.
AS IF A GUY IS TO PUT ASIDE EVERYTHING IN HIS LIFE JUST TO CHASE A GIRL HE LIKES BECAUSE AFTER ALL, MEN THINK WITH THEIR
D I C KS.
I FIND THE BOOK INSULTING TO BOTH SEXES.

SATC writers are probably the last people on earth to know about relationships.
I agree that there are NO DUH kind of things a guy does by showing you he is not interested.
However, not every guy is going to chase after a girl or respond easily to her calls etc.
Some men do, others might be shy, or have other things on their minds.
People are individuals and it's hard to lump everyone in the same generic catagory.

I don't really agree with you. I also read the book (I'm assuming you read it since you're judging it). Many girls overthink and come up with a million reasons why the guy hasn't called them....when really guys aren't that complex. Yes, there are extenuating circumstances where he might not be able to (a death close to him, etc), but for the most part, if a guy likes you, he'll call...not necessarily every minute or make it seem like he's chasing you....but if you've shown interest and he's interested back, he'll contact you.
As for some men being less aggressive - I guess there are some 'shy' guys who might be afraid to call. ...but I think they're in the minority.

Thats true but if a guy says he like you in my mind he should put atleast some effort into you. Even if he is less aggressive he could still show some kind of interest. A shy guy could give interest a less aggressive guy can give interest too. But if a guy isn't chasing you he's not that into you. I am not saying that he should be stuck to you like glue but show a little interest. Of course it would take time for a person to develop strong feelings but in the beginging just a little is exceptable. but also guys can also do or tell you what you want to hear so you can't really tell until you know them for a long time

They wrote Sex in the City, shall I say more?
Those writers are shallow minded. A guy chasing the girl he likes is also known as a stalker... And most of us guys don't even like talking on the phone!

in real life, u can not live your love life based on a book. a book is just a guide but love is a gamble. some men are passive lovers, hence though they could love you, but if they feel some other man is capable of giving you much more than what he has to offer, then he will just let the other guy 'win'.

I haven't read the book, but I have seen the guy speak once and have heard his premise. I think if a man cares about you he will do whatever it takes to be with you. Period. So I guess I agree with him.
