Me and my hubby are temporarily staying with my in laws to save money for a house, they are always making plans for us. For example, recently, they invited us to go out on a boat (at night) and since we have a newborn, we declined because it is way too cold, etc. We did not want to go. They went out and found us a babysitter...it was a girl we knew, however, we already told them we did not want to go.....since they went through that much trouble to get a babysitter, it looks like we have to go! What should we tell my in-laws? Is this upsetting to anyone else or am I over reacting????

I have a friend and I am not sure how to tell her that she is way too old to be dating a young man. They seem to get along well; she has met his parents and siblings. He sister is the same age is she, but I think that some where the age difference will take its toll. What I feel I should do is nothing and let what nature place between them figure it out. Just want to know what other think about the situation.

I guess i have a lot of friends, but mostly aquaintances. nobody i really feel close to. I've tried strengthening my friendships, but I just can't get really close to anyone. people think I have a lot of friends, and that I'm popular and all, but I just don't know.

I met this guy in my english class this first semester of college. He started to finally talk to me around the time of thanksgiving. B4 each time our english class met, we would be in the hallway & we would talk to one another & then when class was over, we would walk out of the buliding & into the parking lot together while talking. then we finally swaped phone numbers & he called me on friday night. we had made plans 2 go out to dinner that saturday & we did. then he took off to go to atlantic city for a few days & he didn't call me while he was down there but I wasn't really expecting him to either bcuz he was busy doing his own thing, but then he finally called me on thursday night and we talked for a good half hr. (this past thursday). The problem is, I haven't heard from him since I've tried calling him but he hasn't called me back. Im kinda afraid that he is over me & doesn't care to be friends which i don't understand because we talked so much during school. what do u think?

My girlfriend and her mom put a restraining order on me because her mom told her I said I would beat her @$$. (Her mom not her.) I never said this to her mom, what should i do? I can't talk to her now and explain anything to her otherwise I will go to jail. Any ideas?

My friend's parents just got divorced and she wont let me hear the end of it. She naggs me all day about how she is so sad that her parents are divorced and sobs all over me. i need to re-establish a life of my own with my kids. however...i want my own place and my own stuff. he wont leave. nor will he let me leave. i have to do it behind his back. when he's at work....i guess....i can't stay there any longer. he hates me, but wont let me leave! i wish i had someplace to turn where i and my kids will feel at home. i could go and stay at my parents and take my kids, but i will get home sick. i can't afford a place of my own but need to have my own space. i wish there was some why he would leave. any thoughts?

My husband is hungarian & i am english, we have many differences in our lives. My husband likes to go to church twice a year, once at easter and once on christmas eve, for the 3 years we have been married, i have been faithfully going to the catholic church with him on these occasions but i am not a church goer and i don't want to go.
I told him this on a few occasions and his response is, i should respect his culture, we are married, incidentally he has been married before & his first wife used to go along to the church willingly, i really don't want to go but feel compelled to go as i don't want to upset him esp on these special occasions.
I am asking you people whether i should continue to do this, or whether i should be firm and not go.
I am not a catholic but even so, if the church was my church i STILL wouldn't want to go.
Your views would be appreciated.

i dont want to live with my mother any more, i am 16 years old, i do not want to wait till 18 i cant! i have spoken with her and she will not sign any papers or let me live with my stepfather, is there any way i could bring this to a family court or can my stepfather and what are the chances i will get to live with him?

Ventura California...
In our custody agreement there is a typo- The person who has the kid for Xmas eve, keeps them until 10:00 PM (it's supposed to read AM) and the other parent picks up at 10:00 am, and gives the kid back at 6:00 the next day.

The following entry stats the parent picks up the kid at 10:00 am, as is the obvious intention of the document.

This year she's saying that she is going to keep my son on Xmas day until 10PM. Basically negating my xmas rights.

So I have contacted my lawyer. But have not heard back. What usually happens in these cases? If I show up, and he's not there, what should I do, and if I call the cops, what can they do?

We are still fighting in court, btw. She's also denying that her boyfriend is anything more than a room-mate. (even though they sleep together). Any suggestions and ideas would be much appreciated. Thanks!

I have recently got back in contact with a friend i used to be close to in comprehensive school! we havent seen each other for 9 years and now she is coming over to see me tomorrow with my xmas prezzy! What would you suggest i get her? It would have to be something for her and her partner but nothing too expensive! Just a token gift! She doesnt drink alcohol and doesnt really like to eat chocolates! Im stumped! i am working til 5 tomorrow and she will be over at about 6 ish! I wont even have time to go into town!!
