OMG just because she got a text, if you dump her you could be making the biggest mistake of your life. No I wouldnt. GOod luck in all you do!

It depends on what the text said and what she did about it. If it was "Had a great time in the sack last night" then yeah, you need to address that. But if it was simply a "Hey, what's up" then you need to talk to her to determine what she is thinking. Regardless, you should determine what you want from a relationship and whether or not she is the one to give it to you. The text from the old fling really is just superficial and probably won't affect your own decision.

You are going to dump her because of an text from an old fling. Why don't you be honest with yourself and her, you want to dump her any way don't use that old tired excuse as the reason.

You can't stop her from receiving texts, the real question is, is she answering them? If you have 2 rough years with her, are there steps you can take to change things? If you're both just hanging on hoping for the best, it may be time to call it quits, but if you can pinpoint what the trouble is, you can work on building a life together. 2 years does show a huge willingness to commit.

How old are you? Sounds like you are really jealous, or really young, or both. I am still friends with my ex and my current bf is still friends with his ex. Not the best of friends, but we'll check in w our exes w a short email, call or text once in a while. Just bc you aren't w someone anymore, if the relationship ended well, you shouldn't cut them out of your life.
I wouldn't even mention it to her. However, if she KEEPS getting calls and texts on a regular basis, I would tell her in a nice way how it makes you feel (hurt, upset, etc,) but dumping her just for one text msg is a lil drastic, dontcha think?

YOU want to dump your girlfriend of TWO years because an ex texted her without her even talking to him!!!
I would say grow up and stop being so insecure, immature and possessive but I think you should leave her so she can find a trusting, mature boyfriend

It all depends on what the text was in reference too. Have you ever heard of communication. You can't give up on a relationship that you have been working on for two years. That would mean you wasted the last two years of your life. It's a stupid little thing and you need to grow up.

I haven't heard enough to say for sure. Although it sounds like after you saying "2 rough years" you may just be waiting for some clear sign to call it quits. If you are not so sure about being with her, then it's probably best you stop wasting time.
