i need to re-establish a life of my own with my kids. however...i want my own place and my own stuff. he wont leave. nor will he let me leave. i have to do it behind his back. when he's at work....i guess....i can't stay there any longer. he hates me, but wont let me leave! i wish i had someplace to turn where i and my kids will feel at home. i could go and stay at my parents and take my kids, but i will get home sick. i can't afford a place of my own but need to have my own space. i wish there was some why he would leave. any thoughts?

No one's going to make me stay where I don't want to be. I'd take my kids and go to my parent's house. I'd get over that homesickness. My peace of mind would allow it.

Nothing has to be forever. For now, if you really are ready for freedom, take your kids and go. A judge can decide late who gets the house.

It may be that later you will wind up in the home without him. The important thing is to get yourself away from him. He sounds kinda creepy, honey.

Gentle thoughts to ya and good luck.

you can not make someone bigger than you go. YOu can make some calls, open your phone book and check out the salvation army and health and welfare offices though they won't help if you or your kids are not in danger. call your parents and tell them whats going on. why would you get homesick if you are with your kids, they are your HOME life and responsiblity. If he is a bad person then you can record him being abusive, with camera or small recording device. call cops every time you feel he is going to hurt you or the kids.

File for a divorce, and get back on your feet however you can. Be an independent woman and leave him behind (by not even depending on him for child support or spousal support, if possible -- that just keeps you attached to the person you don't want to be attached to anymore).

Try a restraining order that removes him from your household. A police officer will come enforce it for you. Then file for a contested divorce since i doubt he will willingly sign the papers.

GoodLuck
