It's called browser hijacking and you'll normally get it from websites you visit or sometimes from software you download.

Get yourself a good Spyware scanner/blocker and you shouldn't have any more problems. Check out the "Sources" link below for some more info and links to spyware scanners/blockers. Spyware S&D combined with AdAware (both linked on the page below) offer very good protection. Run them a couple times a month and they'll clean up any nasty things you've picked up around the web.
