I drink rather often, like one beer a day (exclusively beer), but never get drunk. I have been doing this for 4 years, and it never affected any aspect of my life. However, alc. makes me depressed, even though that is the reason I consume it in a first place: anxiety and boredom. Every time I feel this way I have a slight urge to calm my nerves with a beer. I tried antidepressants, but I decided that it even worse, even though during the time I was taking Xanax I didn't feel the need to take Alc.
Any recomendations how I can cope with boredom/anxiety w/out taking antidepressants/alc, and how can I feel the joy of living like before???

deal with this person? The person never actually apologizes, but says things to try to make up for his/her behavior at some point in the future. Or sometimes, they just go on as if nothing has happened, not acknowledging their hurtful behavior.

One of my friends is dating my ex-boyfriend and now she is cheating on him with another one of my friends. They both denie it of coures, but they have been known to lie to me. Anyway I found out and I talked to her and she started to call me b**** and slut and all that. Now her boyfriends mad at me. The only people that are on my side is his bestfriend and my other friend that hangs out in their group and idk wat to do. Can anyone help me? Should I let it drop or should I tell him shes cheating on him and that about 10 poeple seen it?

My mom wants me to do an after-school activity, but I really don't want to do one. Does anyone have any ideas for interesting and exciting after-school activities that don't take up much time (and maybe can be taught in a lesson format?) I'm really into fashion and writing. At school, I excel in Humanities and Math. Errmmmm . . . I'm 14 years old. I can't really think of any other info . . . any suggestions?

There is this man I've never met, but he is a friend of a friend and I talk to him on myspace. He's nice and cute and my friend speaks well of him and I trust my friend's opinion.
So, after flirting with each other in several messages, he recently sent me a message saying he was coming to my city in a few weeks.
Well, I told him if he wanted a tour of the city let me know, and I'd hook him up.
I mean, I trust him since he knows my friend.

Anyway, He wrote back ,
'Right on girl, I might take you up on that tour."

That's all he wrote, nothing else.
He never wrote, I'll let you know when I'll be there or anything.
Just, 'I might take you up on that tour.'

Was he just blowing me off?

I do not want to email back and say anything else and look stupid.
Remember he was flirting with me so, he seemed interested.
Now..I'm not so sure.

She told me that she wanted it to be ok with me that she dated this guy because she says she cares about me and that she would rather have me and him as friends than him and not me. She cried in front of my face when she said she didn't want to lose me as a friend.

My exgirlfriend who I just broke up with doesn't want to lose me as a friend but she has this friend who told her he likes her and she said she's unsure of whether or not she likes him (she's liked him before and were childhood friends). I don't like him and if she starts to date him, I'm scared that she'll drift away from me. She calls me her bestfriend and she cried in front of me when she told me she didn't want to lose me. What do I do?

hey people i seriously need some advice.
well, at skool, i have this bff of mine and we were hella close!! then there were these other group of girls that were hating on me and they were spreading rumors about me saying that i was talking crap about everyone, and everyone was hating me!!! and those girls were trying to get the whole skool against me!! Ok ........ so i have this friend actually she's my BFFL one of them atleast i have 2 others we're the sqare at our school. and my friend sarah was band royalty this year ( it's a christmas thing @ school) and i was thinking that since we're the only two 7th grade girls in band we could switch off every year but when i told her she said "no" "nobody likes you you're to mean to everyone!" but im the nice one. she's done other little things this year that have ticked me off but none like this and if i tell her i don't want to be friends with her the other two will follow her and then i won't have anyone they are all i have i feel like odd one out!!!!! what should i do!!!!!!! Tonight I watched "There's Something About Mary" with my boyfriend of two months. Now I am not usually a person who cares or is bothered when he watches a girl go passed or whatever, but tonight during the movie he said, "I'm sorry but Cameron Diaz is really pretty." For some reason it broke my heart. I think it was because he doesn't say that stuff to me and it kind of made me self concious which I try really hard to be. Is it unreasonable for me to expect him to say something like that to me and not about other girls? Even if it means nothing?

So I've been talking to this guy for about a month now...and he's really sweet and we mesh very well. My only issue is that when I mention anything about God, church, he doesn't share the same enthusiasm as me, or really doesn't seem to care. Recently.. i knew a girl from my working place.. and after a period of time.
