Sunny only you can make that decision. When I turned 18 I got married. Now it has worked for me, but that is my experience. In 1 1/2 weeks I will be getting married again for the second time, to the same man. But this is our 30th wedding anniversary. So it really depends on the individual and how you both feel about one another. You both have nothing but time on your hands and if you both are going to go to Med School, that is going to run your lives for quite a few years. Something to think about before you do get married.

My husband and I met when we were 18. We both decided to go to our own colleges in different states, he in Texas and me in D.C. Our sophomore year in college we said we wanted to get married at the end of senior year. By the time senior year arrived, marriage was the last thing on our minds. We were only 22 and had a lot yet to do! After college we still dated because we were both so young and had a lot of things we wanted to accomplish for ourselves. People thought we were crazy because we didn't get married until we were 26 and dated for more than 7 years and never lived together. We figured we were only young once and had our whole lives to be married. Although we were steady all those years we still traveled on our own, lived on our own, and focused on what was important to each of us. We've been married two years now and it has been wonderful. In summary, don't worry about when you get married. It will happen when it is meant to happen. You have your whole life ahead of you... take your time and live life to the fullest. Good Luck!

If you're not sure then no age is right but if you know that you both want to spend the rest of your lives together....go for it. I've known people to date for yrs. get married & then divorced in a yr. or less. I've also known folks who married at a very early age & were still married 50 yrs. later.

There's a right age for everyone alone. What I mean is when you are ready to be married then whatever age you are then that's the perfect age for you. People get married at all ages.

whenever you are happy, and dont ever fight. But my suggestion is to live together before marriage, thats the true test! Go to school first because med school is hard and stressful, especially on a relationship.

OK, if your under 25 theres a 50% chance of divorce, using the numbers below though you can decrease it by said amounts:
Percent Decrease
in Risk of Divorce
Annual income over $50,000 (vs. under $25,000) -30%
Having a baby seven months or more after marriage (vs. before marriage) -24%
Marrying over 25 years of age (vs. under 18) -24%
Own family of origin intact (vs. divorced parents) -14%
Religious affiliation (vs. none) -14%
Some college (vs. high-school dropout) -13%
