Or should I walk past again.....?

Ive been with my fiance for only 10 months, but Ive known him over a year and a half. I am crazy about him, he's a truly wonderful man. I know that some of you may think thats too soon, but please keep those remarks to yourself. Our engagement will be official this weekend - we are going to atlanta and he'll propose there; we already decided to get engaged but he wants to still propose, my ring came in yesterday and i havent seen it yet!! Anyway I always wanted about a year for an engagement, because I think it should be a time to be enjoyed, not stressed. I want more than anything to be married to him but I also want to enjoy our engagement. My parents are fairly well off and we plan on an amazing wedding. I want to enjoy every aspect of planning it. I want to get married on July 7th, 2008. Is a year and a half too long? For those that have been engaged for a while how long does it really take to thoughtfully plan out a big wedding. Any thoughts are appreciated!!

I am currently dating a member of the military. We were together before he went in. I am getting ready to leave for basic in a few months myself. (so long as I am not pregnant) We are not guarenteed to be stationed toegether unless we get married. I have had people in the military tell me we should get married before I ship. Because everything would be easier. So I am unsure if we should get married so soon. So should we get married first or wait?

She has gone, took the kids and has left him all alone. She simply says that she is tired of the relationship. They have been together for 20 years!

He is cracking up, but as a male nurse, is not short of female company. At present he is immersing himself in young nubile women and not really dealing with his feelings. I am aware that he is storing up issues, but am reluctant to talk him out of his current attitude of trying to forget about his wife by bedding dozens of young women - but this cannot be healthy for him can it?

What would you suggest that he should do and what I should do?

Whatever happens I am inclined to leave it until after Xmas because it will be hard enough without me interfering.

Whatever happens I will always be ther for him!

I have been involoved with a man for three years. Once again she has found out. He actually told me to be patient and wait until things had calmed down. If I choose to stay in the relationship he will continue. I can't keep doing that to myself. But why would she want to hold on to him? She can pretend that the relationship has not been going on for three years, but she is not dumb she knows. The sad thing is even through I have no intentions of seeing him again he will find someone else, they always do.

She's a total clean freak, everything in it's right place, no mess, mess makes her go nuts. I try my damndest to be clean but hell sometimes it just is NOT a priority so I let things slide a bit. Even when i do try to keep clean i can for example put my shoes away 50 times and forget one time and it's 'you left your shoes out again you know how i hate that' etc etc. How can i deal with this kind of clean freak disorder without walking on egg shells constantly?

I have been married for fifteen years and my relationship with my mother-in-law has gone from bad to worse. My husband makes excuses for her bad behavior. He is constantly telling me to be the bigger person. It has gotten to the point that he and my son go there for the holidays without me. I can't be around her for the sheer purpose of self-preservation at this point because my feelings have been hurt so many times now. She calls him at work now instead of at home and I can always tell because he comes home with a chip on his shoulder. If I say anything in defense of myself he tells me I am being a small person but yet he will come to her defense. Our son is adopted and she shows favortism to the other grandchildren also. She gets them more at Christmas and takes them on annual vacations without extending an invitation to my son. When I have tried to talk to my husband about it he just blows. He has never confronted her, even when he has caught her in lies. I need advice...

Did your destination of choice affect the time of year you got married? For example, we would love to go to Scotland, in a cabin on a loch, with log fires etc, so we are getting married next winter...

I have 2 friends, who are in a serious relationship. They live together with the guy's parents. They have been together for 4 years. The guy use to be involved with drugs, but has now fully recovered and have been clean for 3 years. The couple fight alot, about money and the past. The girl is very childish and likes to bring up things from the past and throw it in his face. She is convinced she 'saved' him from drugs and it is because of her that he has a successful job, etc. The thing is she just spends and flrts and does whatever she wants, but when he wants to spend some money on beers to have some fun with his friends (it's good clean fun, no funny business) or speaks to a girl she gets upset and ruins the whole evening for us. He is thinking of leaving her, but the problem is he doesn't want to hurt her and he is afraid he will be alone. She has broken down his self esteem so much, that he thinks he is stupid and worthless. What advice can I give him? Anyone been in this situation?

My bf was telling me about his sister and then he said something about not to email or talk to her. Well, I thought he was kinda joking (he says he said it very seriously) so I messaged her just to say hi or whatever. Then his sister came up again a few weeks later and he became adamant about how if I ever talk to her he will get VERY MAD. His reasoning was because he didn't want me telling her things that she's too young to hear (when really she's not that young...I think she's starting college next year). Anyways, after he told me that I messaged her again and told her my bf doesn't want me talking to her so I can't talk to her anymore. Well today I told my bf all of this because I felt like I was lying to him by not telling him. He blew up and isn't really talking to me. He's acting like I slept with another guy or something. His reasoning is not just that I talked to her, but apparently I disregarded him when he told me not to talk to her. I don't know how to make him forgive me.

Arranged marriages are a norm in most of the Indian families where parents choose suitable partners for their children.
Women get the bad end of the deal coz not only dont they not know anything about the guy they marry, they have to give dowry, they are the ones who are expected to change, adjust, compromise, sacrifice according to their husband's desires.
So, girls, if u had the choice and ur parents would allow, would u choose arranged marriage or would u prefer to choose a person urself who is compatible and who u love, respect for an equal partnership of life?

Yesterday I asked a question regarding my wife, and her continued sexual affairs in my house. While I am confined to the basement, or forced to go out, she brings in a variety of men.
Anyway, this morning she has told me that she wants to go away with on of them, but wants me to pay for it. What should I do?
