okay, here goes...I have a best friend whom I am starting to feel attracted to. He has acted interested in the past but nothing has ever happened because I was too scared to take the chance of losing our frindship. Now he likes this new girl and its breaking my heart. Everything he says he likes about her is all the same things he has stated that I represent too. He tells me shes pretty in the same words he has said I am pretty, her personality is the same as mine, etc. I feel so sad that he wants someone like me but NOT ME. I know I should just take the chance because maybe hes afraid too...but the other nite he said she gives him butterflies and he hasnt felt that in a LONG time...so apparently he doesnt think of me in that way. I am so confused and I dont want my hurt feelings to lead to me pushing him away...but I fear that will happen because I love him and he says he loves me...but its almost like Im not good enough in his eyes...

My life has been pretty interesting. My exwife has made my life a living hell now for 7 yrs. I just recently lost again my job and had to move away to so called escape her. I have a son who I love more than life it self and have been fighting for custody for him since the day he was born. I do have him with me and have had him with me now for quite some time, but you can imagine the games she plays with custody. I have also lost a woman I love and her 2 little girls who I raised for 2 1/2 yrs due to my ex. I wont go into too many details. It ruined us. So all in all Financialy and relationship wise i am ruined once more. And forced to start over yet again. I have my son but simple dont have the means to provide him with what I call a normal life. I live with my brother and share a room with my son with two matresses. Now whenever I start to get alittle better just the simple things in life push me back under. How do you make a comeback? How do you climb out?

My wife left me after 3 months of marriage. It stems from my emotional outburst where i used foul language and yelled venting my frustrations regarding my 7 seven year old step daughter. Who i truly do love but was learnig to adjust to raising her, she still saw me as the friend and not the step father, and using the word "no" wasn't working. My wife has since left the house and moved back in with her mom, she has also filed for an anullment. I have tried calling and e-mailing, and she would not reply. I finally went over to her house and she simply said "you invovled her" and closed the door. I have been attending marital counseling, but it is getting tough because my wife won't attend, and it's hard to prove to her since she is not talking to me. What should i do now? I miss my family and it is very hard to understand.

My bf and i have been dating for almost 7 months, and everything is goin well, except for his mom! she is so weird and mean: one incident, i was at their house and i had nothing to eat so i started to get a migraine, my bf asked his mom if he could cook for me and she said no bcuz they didn't have enough food-an hour later she makes 2 huge baskets of fried chicken and doesn't offer me any! but overall, she doesn't speak to me, but her opinion of me is that i'm "bold" bcuz me and my bf joke around and i dont hold back on what i say..wtf?
i've done a couple of favors for her, but she still has an f'd up opinion of me. and she's hella dependent on my bf, and it's hella annoying. when we're together, she calls him to ask how to spell a word or something, and then she starts a full convo knowin he's with me..this mess is hella annoying and i'm getting tired of her feeding him ideas about me and holdin him on a leash...

Ok heres the deal. I started wokring at this restaurant and I met this guy. We'll just call him Jake. So jake is married and has a baby boy. He approached me about hanging out a while ago but i wasnt really interested. then one day he came out with all of the coworkers to a karaoke bar, anyways he told me that he liked me a lot and that he wanted to be with me, but i didnt end up taking him seriously at first. Anyways i kind of started falling for him and the next day he told me that his wife and him were seperated and that she had flown back with the baby to san francisco. He said he wanted to date me and i was really scared at first ,but i ended up dating him. so our relationship got serious really fast, and i really ended up falling in love with him. he told me he was in love with me and told me he was getting the divorce all set up and that he wanted to be with me and marry me and so on...but now hes confused and not sure of the divorce or anything. what should i do???

This is aimed at parents mainly.

What would you do if your daughter brought home her new boyfriend and he turned out to be Scottish?

It caused quite a stir and spolied our Sunday lunch. I think she did it to deliberately provoke a reaction.

I haven't said anything to her yet. Any advice?

My wife gets long stares from guys, Shes fairly nice looking... very cute... and shes 22, has two kids, and me always with her. Some of these guys just stare... like while shes walking in the store.. like do they have nothing better to look at.. are they weirdos? Do they want to eat her? what is going on here... SHes not deformed or anything, or doesnt have a tattoo on her head.. but they just look.. no smiles no evil looks, no weird faces....just a blank deep stare. We fight so much! he is alwasy saying how i do not listen to him! but i do not think i should have too.... if i want to make a bad choice i should be able too!
