Remind him. Even with the best of intentions, we can all slip up, get distracted, lose track of what date it is today. My significant other would constantly think my b'day was two days later than it is because a lot of people in his family share a birth month. It didn't mean he didn't care, he just couldn't keep the date straight. Men aren't as 'date' conscious as women are, so give him a gentle reminder (like saying your mom or girlfriend called to wish you happy b'day) and wait to see what happens.
Good luck and Happy Birthday!

How long have you been together? Some men just can't remember important dates to save their lives. I would give him the benefit of the doubt. Wait until later...hopefully he'll have a surprise for you. Happy Birthday!!

Remind him or tell a friend to call him and remind him
My husband always forgets so i make sure to program it in his phone and computer
I also tell my friends to remind him if he doesn't say it in the morning.
hurry up so he can cover his ***.
ps
he does love you, they are just dumb about this kinda stuff.
Happy birthday, and FYI today is my birthday too.

how can you think that he forgot - the day is not over yet. But I expect that he has, so get prepared for a big row later. Then take him for a shopping trip to let him make up - good result!

i might want to assert something. enable him recognize you do not assume something massive, yet a verbal satisfied birthday or a card or something might want to be effective. Then, next 12 months, a week or so earlier your birthday, ask him if he's conscious what's arising in 7 days...

I got to 7 pm this year before my wife remembered. She only did because she asked me why my father called. I told her and she turned bone white and then red. She felt bad.
People do these things. We are all so freakin' busy.
By the way, Happy Birthday!!!!

don't say anything...
even if he does forget it, it's not that bad - you're not told 40times a day how old you are and still you can have a good laugh at the end...
a bithdays aren't that special, they're just a single day in a year and as long as the rest is good, why make a big fuzz about a single one!
and propabely he just wants to prepare something special - and doesn't want you to know anything about it!

Remind him, without attitude and anger. Maybe call him and say "since it's my birthday today, I'd thought we'd go out to dinner to..."
Just remember that we are all human and forgetful at times. It doesn't mean that he doesn't love you or that he doesn't care.

Why do you "think" he forgot....is your b-day today or was it like last week or last month?? If it's today, the day is not over yet, maybe he has plans for later on....however if your b-day was already past I would remind him.....good luck!!
