It isn't true. This quote is affectionately known as the butterfly quote. People only have firm belief in the saying because some people get back together long after a break up. These things happen commonly, but it doesnt mean that everyone should do this to find out if it's meant to be. to be honest, this line is commonly a move guys do to break up with a girl but keep the door open for a return. It is a misused phrase and it is too cliche. My advice: don't believe a single word of that quote.

Sometimes we believe in what we WANT to be true. Quotes come from everyday things that people experience and what worked for someone might not work for you or me. I do believe that quote though. However, why would you let someone go if you love them and they love you back? If they don't, or they think they don't, they might come back after realizing that you were best for them. Or they might find someone that they think is better and never even remember you.
So go figure!

Or they'd discover somebody that they think of is larger and by no ability even bear in ideas you. So bypass determine!

i say false.....don't play with love. if you love that person then fight to keep them, don't play around and let them go. they may just find someone else. just because it may work once or twice means nothing and just because they don't come back doesn't mean they were never yours...before you broke up they were yours and you felt love for them.

Ask yourself: Do I want to be with someone who doesn't love me?

If the other person loves you, they will come after you. If they don't, move on and find someone who appreciates and loves you for who you are.

can be true, but sometimes,if you let go of that someone,he might feel that you rejected him and not in anyway interested or love him that much that you just let go.i believe more that if you love someone, hold on,hang on and if one day love leaves you, accept it cos it was never yours.

Yea, I let my husband go, and he keeps coming back like a bad dream, so what if you don't want 'it' back? Can you kill 'it'?
