I loved a smart good looking girl but as she was not interested I ended up marrying a girl whom I do not like. I had to do that as I didn’t have enough options and I thought gradually intimacy would be developed. She belongs to typically business family where smartness doesn’t matter. I’m kind of person who always look for improvement in technical, soft skill as well as personality and expects the same from wife. I tried a lot to let her know my likings but she never paid much attention to it. For her home and child is everything. It takes me back to the girl and expects the same which I expect from my wife. The girl always asked me to be her friend and keep distance where as I found her indulging with ex-friend. On enquiring, she scolded me not to interfere in her personal life. I’ve broken the friendship but I’m disturbed as I don’t see any ray of hope from wife. Is it wrong to expect these things from wife? Can anybody show me the right path?

The girls is not in high school, nor is she anyway close to the high school I work in. She is about to be 18 in less than two weeks. I was just asking is it wrong to like somebody so young that my sister doesn't approve of. You guys suck for making me look like a perv. I guess I made it seem that way in the last question. For those who think it, SUCK IT! Well... As long as your 18. :)

I was a good husband. She even says so. She was just "not happy." So she left and now is involved with some other guy. I am told by pepole that I am good looking so I can meet someone else and I do all of the time but I don't want to get involved with anyone because it would just be using them at this point for a release. When do you get over the anger? Do you ever? It has been six months now. Thanks for any helpful responses. ( I notice that some of you are practicing for a comedy routine and provide sarcastic jokes rather than actual responses. Often funny, though, I might add.)

I have had problems with depression since my teen years. I recently started to go out with this great guy, things are perfect and he's wonderful and ever since i been with him i havent been depressed at all. He is a cop and told me he may have to go to Bosnia for a year as part of his job,he is trying to get out of it but it looks doubtful. I have been so down since he told me,now i'm afraid i'm spiralling back down into depression. The thought of not seeing him for so long is eating me up inside.

My daughter's maid of honor scheduled a bridal shower and sent invitations before she checked with me. I will be out of the country on the date of the shower. 1) Does the mother usually buy a gift for her daugher for the bridal shower? 2) If I cannot attend, should I send the gift or give it to her after the shower when I return?

me and someone who I thought was a close friend of mine got into a heated argument because she said I wasn't a true friend. That really pissed me off, because I felt I was. I asked her why she thought that and she said it was because when she was pulled over by the police for rolling through a stop sign; I refused to let her use my license. (she said her license were suspended and she would go to jail). I responded that a true friend wouldn't have asked me to do such a thing. Was I wrong?

I met a guy about a month ago and things have been going great. I have no complaints at all. He does get upset about issues that he is going through that have nothing to do with me and completely shuts down, doesn’t want to talk, etc. I have overlooked that. Everyone deals with their issues in their own way. When we met, he told me that he was hurt really bad by his ex and that is hard for him to trust someone and put his guard down. All of that is understandable. Over the past week, things have gone from hot, to completely cold. He calls but I can sense that something is wrong. So I asked him what was up and why was he different. He begins to tell me again that he was hurt very badly and that he will never trust me completely and he may never put his guard down. I told him that it wasn’t fair for me to have to pay for someone else’s mistakes and that he should let me make my own mistakes or accomplishments with him. I told him he has too many rules and he replied that its his life and he refuses to let someone hurt him again. I have been hurt before but I give everyone a chance to show me what they are about. Am I wrong to be upset about this? Does anyone think he is right or wrong? Also please advise me on what my next step should be.

Why does it have to be this way?
There's a guy that I have liked for a few years now. Before that, we were friends for six years. He's been divorced since early Feb. He use to flirt with me and say things to me like "It doesn't take a brain surgeon to see how much I want to be with you." I told him I liked him. Now he won't go out on a date. He feels uncomfortable being in a room, alone with me. It's one thing to not be into someone. But to say some of things he has said and then totally back off...I just don't get it. I know he's not at all ready for a committment, but why won't he go out on an ocassional date with me? I have left him alone so he could sort out his thoughts. Then we start talking again. He opens up a little bit more then he shuts right down. I'm totally baffled. Any thoughts?

My bf and I have a very satisfying sex life. There is something tho, that I feel like it might be my fault. It is very hard for him to get an erection sometime and when he does it usually doesn't stick around too long...I'm not worried about my satisfaction as he is amazing with other things, but I worry that I may not be doing stuff or I'm the reason he stays soft. I give him head 98% of the time and play with it...but it still goes soft...Is there something else I can do? Is he satisfied? He doesn't ever complain...or ask for anything more...

I believe that I am getting all the "signs" from her, yesterday her mother asked my to come over for lunch, and again yesterday I asked her to go to see a movie. She said definately which is a good thing. I think we are taking the precautionary baby steps of a relationship. My question is, when would be the best time to let her know that I am ready to take the next step in the relationship? I just don't want to take too long and run the risk of something not happening. Do you think I should do that before the movie or after?

- I have been told to do if after, so I just wanted to get a feel for what you all thought. Thank you very much!
