I believe that I am getting all the "signs" from her, yesterday her mother asked my to come over for lunch, and again yesterday I asked her to go to see a movie. She said definately which is a good thing. I think we are taking the precautionary baby steps of a relationship. My question is, when would be the best time to let her know that I am ready to take the next step in the relationship? I just don't want to take too long and run the risk of something not happening. Do you think I should do that before the movie or after?

- I have been told to do if after, so I just wanted to get a feel for what you all thought. Thank you very much!

She is probably waiting for you to make a move, probably wondering what is taking you so long. If she has agreed to a date and you have visited with the parents then it is safe to move forward.

If you tell her before the movie, she won't be able to concentrate on the film, will sit there in the dark thinking about what you said and it could be a very awkward 2 hours.

Tell her afterwards and like somebody else said, atleast if she doesn't feel the same as you she would have had a nice time anyway.

Good luck.

follow your heart. see how she reacts when you put your arm around her at the movies. or just ask how she feels about going to the next step. you are wise not to go to fast and become friends first. If her mom approves of you then you stand a good chance, she has obviously been talking about you to her. if she says she wants to wait a little longer then don't push but don't let it go to much longer either.

Do it after the movie, that way, if she is not interested in it you still had a fun time with her. I think she would really like it though.
