My ex of three months from summer of 2005 is still in touch with me via text message. We broke up because he just runs a mile when things get serious with a girl or so he claims. He text me last Monday asking how I was etc. I ignored the text, then last Saturday Night, he text me again, asking why I didnt reply etc. It basically came down to me telling him I have to move on and asked him why he was still in touch. He said he liked me alot and would like to be a with a woman with my personality but gets scary around women when things look serious. He text me last night about something else and also told me his sister had twins. Im finiding all these messages confusing, he doesnt want commitment but yet he cant seem to let go of me fully either.

Okay, so I have this friend, her name is Kristina. She is constantly talking about her so-called 'ex-boyfriend' every minute of the day. Truthfully, its getting annoying and I don't know how to deal with it. My other friend, Megan, is getting annoyed as well. Its to the point where everytime we hear his name come out of her mouth, we look at each other and roll our eyes. Like, it's not that we don't care about her and her feelings for him, (even though we think he flirts with her and wants to get with her just for a piece of ***) but she honestly needs to get over him and move on to better things. Like different guys. I dont know, like I want to tell her that she needs to get over him, but I dont want to be mean when I tell her. Confused. Help?!

...and I thought things were going pretty well. We hit it off and went on a first date, then saw each other pretty much every other day up until last Friday (11/3) and the days we didn't see each other we talked on the phone. We went out on Friday, dinner, movie, etc... and then he came back to my house and we hung out some more. We ended up falling asleep and he left around 4am. We text messaged a little bit on Sunday and he mentioned that he had a really busy week at work and wouldn't be available to get together again until this Thursday, but that he'd call me on Tuesday night to make plans. So, I didn't hear from him yesterday, and I'm just wondering if I should be concerned. Is it strange to spend so much time together and then to just... stop? Do you think he really is just busy? Should i call him? If yes, when? I don't usually question myself over guys, but I feel like there's something different about this one. Oh yeah, we're not "young", I'm 29 & he's 35.

my friend stays in another city in another state,alone. he is 23. his b'day is on 13th on Nov. My other friends are also sending gifts, like greeting cards or book. I've got a friend who always seems to be in a competition with me. Everything I do, she will try to do. She only calls me to tell me when she's bought new stuff or done something she thinks will make me jealous. She even goes as far as adding the phrase"..so hah!" to the end of every bragging sentence. I've tried to encourage her, cos I think she probably has a low self-esteem. But, she's been at it now for almost 4 years. Believe it or not, but she's in her mid-20's. What should I do? My wife and I have been married for 11 yrs. We had really bad time a few years ago and attendend counselling. Since then, we have been working at repairing things but I am starting to loose hope that we can acheive the love, passion and romance from before.

I have tried to use all of the skills learned in counselling and provided that advice here on this site. I feel that no matter what I do, how hard I try, what I say, we can't get past something i our marriage that holds us back.

I truly love my wife, she is the person that makes me feel complete & whole. With each passing day I become more depressed and upset in feeling its not working.

I don't want a divorce or seperation, I just don't know what to do.

I know that there is not a lot of info here but I could really use some honest advice.

my son recently married his partner because he was told thet their daughter albeit she has his name and they live as a family, could not take his child on holiday out of the country without permission of the mother. if there is such a law does this apply to married couples also.

Guys like to flirt and get your attention but they don't want to date. They want to be mysterious and kind of romantic but they get scared if somebody likes them. It is immature. There should be open communication so there is no confusion and friendships resolved. Can you really be friends with a guy who has done this? I have had to it done to me recently and trying to get passed it but he frustrates me.
