Why do alot of girls complain about they the way they look?

Simple because most of us have this thing that we go through and that is the what we look like syndrome! I know I have been there many times and I have to tell you we do that when we want attention from other people or our boyfriends and even from our husbands...We are so consumed by the way we look that we don't realize that it doesn't matter what is on the outside what matters is what is in the inside that counts...I had to learn that the hard way wanting the attention and not recieving that right dose to make me feel good when all I had to do was look at myself and say I am looking good and feeling fine instead of complaining all the time....If most women would do that then less time would be spent complaining about how they look.

Because they lack self confidence. I don't know about other countries, but here in American culture we are constantly being bombarded by the media that if as a woman, you're not beautiful and thin than you are worthless. Most girls don't realize that what they see on television and in magazines is actually a combination of surgery and computer touch up. By the time most woman realize that, they have been exposed to it for so long that they can't change how they feel. Look at our latest role model for middle aged women, Christy Brinkley. No doubt she is the youngest looking 50 year old that I have ever seen and yes she is beautiful. But looking like 25 at 50 is unrealistic for 99.99% of all people(This goes for the men too). Lets get real, common sense tells us that she has a great plastic surgeon and we all know that it is physically impossible to reach 50 and not have at least crows feet. Our culture also teaches woman to be competitive over men so naturally there is animosity between women and a one up attitude. Only the prettiest win so to speak. This is truly a shame because as all of you guys out there know different guys like different shapes, sizes,attitudes and looks.

It is in a girls nature to worry about her appearance. Especially if she is going on a date or if she is going to be around alot of guys or someone inparticular they like. We are always looking to impress and we try with our appearance. We think that if we think we look bad then, ya'll will too. When we complain we are looking for feed back from you. We want to know how you think it looks. I mean even if you say "Baby you look beautiful in anything" we still going to complain because nine times outta ten you guys say that to be nice. It's in a girls nature. It crazy!!

Because the world is constantly hammering them about how they need to "look better." All many girls have ever known growing up is "You are worth nothing. You're ugly. You'll never amount to anything." They think that if they look perfect then they will be worth something. Also, they don't feel adaquet for guys.

i personally dont complain to anyone about my looks but i do have compliants about them nonetheless. i just dont express them verbally.
Why, though?
Personally, I'm a perfectionist, so that's my explanation.
But when girls do express their dissatisfaction with their looks, it is usually by means of insecurities, possibly hoping for reassurance in the subject.
It is also possible they are fishing for compliments.

they complain because they think they look a mess cuz some one popular say they look a mess and they go with the boy they had a crush on or they think that a bouy thinks they r ugly because the girl wants to go with u and u dont pay any attention to them or people call them ugly and they think it is true

I somewhat have a youthful brother and that i like my brother. yet eventhough he's the sole brother I have been given and that i like him lots, he could be completely demanding each and every so often and we merely desire to talk approximately it. it is not something like we hate our brothers and stuff
