The answer he gave you was a typical, stupid guy answer. Your response was pretty mean. Yes, he did leave himself open to it, no doubt. But being thoughtless doesn't score you any points. Just because he's stupid doesn't mean you have to follow.
We know how sensitive men are. I probably would have just rolled my eyes and groaned, but you went below the belt (no pun intended).

Hi, if he really care about you and he want to be with you he will do every thing you like even if he is going to loss some thing 4 you but you should know that he did his best and you must respect him , if he dont he will say what he have just said to you , sorry
