Okay, so I have this friend, her name is Kristina. She is constantly talking about her so-called 'ex-boyfriend' every minute of the day. Truthfully, its getting annoying and I don't know how to deal with it. My other friend, Megan, is getting annoyed as well. Its to the point where everytime we hear his name come out of her mouth, we look at each other and roll our eyes. Like, it's not that we don't care about her and her feelings for him, (even though we think he flirts with her and wants to get with her just for a piece of ***) but she honestly needs to get over him and move on to better things. Like different guys. I dont know, like I want to tell her that she needs to get over him, but I dont want to be mean when I tell her. Confused. Help?!

Tell her she must really be in love with this guy since he is on her mind all the time. Tell her she needs to get back with him (if she was ever really with him) or find a new boyfriend. Say "You need a new boyfriend, girl". If she is hung up on this guy, tell her to advance him. If she is afraid, tell her that to feel a little embarrassed now will not feel anywhere near as bad as wanting him forever but never having him and regretting ever trying.

The answer to your own question is in exactly what you wrote above. Just tell her in a caring, tactful way that you want the best for her, which is to move on and to date again.

Good luck!

Tell her she means a lot to you and you don't want to spend all your time together talking about an ex. Tell her she deserves better than him (sounds like a creep to me) make it a rule when the girls are together you don't talk about exes and what they are doing. They are exes for a reason.
