really first aid is the important one i think but really you just need to honest and a really responable person thats about all

I like this question. I have a son and I am a single DAD and I have been though the babysitting thing so Let me say this hope you are really true to this because Here is how I see it.
85% of the women that are staying home are Lazy and couldn't hold a real job if they had to and not safe at all. 10 % are stay home mom's and do what they need to do. and the 5% that are really trying to make it is a very good thing but they are hard to find or to get in. so if you are really looking then you need to call your county and check with there rules because each one is different and different guild line's on how many you can watch with one person and how old they are. I tried to get a license to babysit when I was younger. I went to our local Department of Human Resources and they will give you a packet on what you will need to do to become a licensed babysitter.
