I came across a box of love letters and tokens of affection from an ex-fiance and spent a morning reliving the past. Three days on I am really torn about how the relationship ended and how much in love I was with him. I don't want to make contact with him and I truly am happy in my marriage, but have been on an emotional rollercoaster ride for the past few days wondering about the 'what ifs..' He ended it because he was scared he was not ready but I know it would have been the best marriage for both of us.
I know I was ready to commit to my husband when I did and we have such a lovely family together. So why am I still so emotional about my first love, and how do I forget him?

i have a boyfriend of 2 years that i love, but my family dislikes him just because his parents financial status is below ours. He went to public school and basically lived his life has little knowledge in foreign languages and stuff where my parents sent me to private boarding schools where i learned 3 foreign languages...sometimes its gets hard for me as well when we go out or dine in expensive places he seems like giving all the money he had, it tears me apart and i try to cook at his house but as it goes on the money problem is increasing, my friends dont say anything because they know we love each other. Since we are always together my boyfriend drives my car and my mom hates it and i am afraid that we might end up apart because of this money problem what shall i do?

Ok so i may sound crazy but i swear i am not...maybe paranoid but not crazy. so i have been dating this guy for awhile and we have talked atleast once everyday we've been together and i see him a couple times a week. well two days ago i was really sick and he had to leave for work so we said good-bye and he left. well i haven't heard from him since. his cell phone is turned off and i don't have the phone numbers of any of his friends. so i have no idea what has happened to him and i am really worried. since i was sick when he left i assumed he would check up on me and it stikes me as very odd that he hasn't and this is why i am freaking out. also him roommates and his mother don't know how to get a hold of me if something did happen. he doesn't have my number memorized and his phone charger is at my apartment. i am really worried and have no idea what to do...please help.

Well, there was this girl i once met up with and I just had the time of my life... and I didn't get her phone number or anything, and on friday I just happen to be going to her house for dinner (parents are family friends). I wanted to invite her to have fun on halloween with a couple of friends but it seems to early a notice to ask her to halloween; so i want to ask her out to a movie or something.

I have a very good friend named Shawn who is married and older than me. I have a boyfriend. Shawn and I have had a crush on eachother for a long time but we would NEVER do anything (act on it). I try to be friends with his wife but she always puts off a wierd vibe to me. Shawn and I love to flirt with eachother but it is totally innocent. Do you think I should back off with the flirting? My bf just got this great promotion and i am so proud of him. But he has started to act distant. With me, he will cuddle and all but yet, he isnt 'there'. When asked, he said he is thinking bout work. When i sms him, he doesnt even reply but admits he saw the msg. Makes me feel neglected that he cant even take a minute to reply a short msg. another question on Y ans. had a woman saying she wants to step up to a nicer wedding ring to replace the cheap one she lost. One answer told her to say that a new style ring would signify a new chapter of their life and that's better than replacing the old ring with a duplicate.

Why can't the wife just say, "Honey, we have more money now than when we got married and I would like a nicer ring?" Why do women lie and manipulate their guy? I've always been very insulted when someone tries to justify something rather than just being straightforward.

My boyfriend is depressed. His family was recently involved in a scandal that eventually became a struggle for them and tore my bf apart. I understand what he was going through though. I began to just not take things personally and understand that its not my fault. To just be by his side when he needs a listening ear or a shoulder to cry on or space when he needs to think. . I know eventually, things will soon be ok, but he loses hope every now and then. It hurts to see him this way. He is awfully quiet and stares into nothing... Or sometimes hed ingnore me like i wasnt there.

It bothers me when people would say hurtful things like im not supposed to be treated this way, or that im taken for granted, or im a "martyr" for sticking with him... some just dont understand bec they just see the surface but not what's deeper. Some just dont know what is actually happening in his life and i felt like i really dont have to explain this to everyone who says stuff.

I think that most people don't give 16 yr olds enough credit. they have a mind of their own and aren't as young and you think. they know a whole lot more now than probably what I did 8 years ago. So how come there's a law that says anyone under 18 is illegal to be with. first of all I am 24 and it's not a certainty that I'd have sex with this guy I like that's 16,2nd if I were to have sex with him the only way I'd go to jail is if his parents pressed charges. It has nothing to do with sex, I could wait the 2 years for that but I enjoy being around him and if all we did was kiss, hold and hug each other I'd be happy. I am not in a rush for the physical. what do you feel for a 16 and 24 year old dating with only kissing and affection? still imoral, even if we seem to be on the same level mentally/emotionally?
