My bf just got this great promotion and i am so proud of him. But he has started to act distant. With me, he will cuddle and all but yet, he isnt 'there'. When asked, he said he is thinking bout work. When i sms him, he doesnt even reply but admits he saw the msg. Makes me feel neglected that he cant even take a minute to reply a short msg. Maybe im being selfish..but if he really loved me, he would make the effort right.

You need to go read up on how men work.
We are driven to work, work is what makes us who we are. Bug him over this promotion, etc and he will toss you to the side.
A man needs his job and a good one to support a family, to feel important in society, etc. To bother him while at work or over work really gets to a man. Wrong area for a woman to be.
To be successful one must give up some items....so if you want him to be successful you will have to give up some of the items you are use to. If you don't want to give them up, find a man with no drive in life.

Talk to him about the way your feeling but also stop being childish. He just got a promotion and that obviously means a lot more responsibility and he is probably making more money so that you guys can enjoy your life together in the future. Why dont you plan something on the weekend that you guys can do to celebrate/spend quality time
