First impressions are everything! they count for a lot.....however....its also true that you should never judge a book by its cover.....jeez we live in such a contradictory society!

some people have very low self-esteem and think very lowly ab't themselves. so to impress others during the first meeting they try to pretend like someone else. but u see .. u can't keep the make-up intact for ever, the real face appears once u wash it. so be urself, and feel good ab't urself the way u r.

I don't think they all mean to mislead. They just want to put their best foot forward.
They want to be liked
That is why it is best to not base your opinion on someome at a first time meeting.

because they want you to like them. or they want you to think something more of them so as to not feel insecure when talking to them. i once had a guy who gave me misleading information about himself and he was really tall and he told me he works out and there was nothing there to tell me that he did work out when i met him for the first time. he also came across before i met him as quite a nice guy who had some common ground with me, but the more i think about it, the more i see that it's not true. he's definitely not nice and is really narrow-minded and likes to get things his own way all the time. lucky i didnt give him that satisfaction. but yeah. as soon as i managed to get away from him, i sent him an email saying i never wanted to speak to him ever again and for him to erase my email and number, and it has worked. i havnt spoken to him since. all he wanted out of me was so that i could like him so that i would be able to give him what he wanted. i dont think all guys are the same, but i do think they try to say things that they think the girl wants to hear so that they could like them.

They want to make a lasting impression because that's most likely what you will remember most about them in the long run.

most of the people, never try to mislead,
but to impress others.
there are some people who pretend,
but u should know , recognize the REAL
people, who just want to be good and try to be good and if
they simply pretend through their gestures,
or body language u can judge.

Good luck,

The people who try to mislead you either have something to hide or are so insecure they can't believe they will be liked for themselves. Try to cultivate people who are honest.
