I was 23 and my ex was 32, thirteen years ago when I left him. I loved him terribly, but was defeated upon trying but failing at having a child with him. I hated myself, so I just ended it. He was just such a great guy, I thought he deserved a better wife and the prospect of having children (he wanted 4)He called me 8 years ago to ask how I was. I told him I was married but still had no kids. I asked about him and he said he was not married and had no kids. I cried like a baby. I apologized about being too immature at the time to have had the sense to stay with him, as we could have worked it out. Today I am still married and have one child thru a surrogate. I feel guilty and want to know that my ex is happy and has kids. He is 46 now. have I ruined his life enough, and should I just let him be?

because i have an ex girlfriend who said that she loves me but not in love with me and she said that she just want to start over as friends again and rebuilt our relationship now do this sound like a good thing to do because i admit our relationship has been rocky and do people who has been in a relationship with someone just fall back in love with that person because we still hang out, go to the movies and kiss each other good night. Do u think starting over as friends can rebuilt a strong relationship again this question is mainly for the women. I need a woman opionion

my husband has a son from a previouse relationship(who is 18 months old) and his best friends oldest sister , i have 3 from before, we have a 14 month old and im due next month. he has a court order to do dna testing for a baby that will be 1 next month, we have been together 2 yrs now. he says its not his but i think it could be. the sad thing is its his best friends middle sister whos seeking dna. making not only his boys (if its his) brothers but first cousins as well. do i just say screw it and leave him or try to suck up my pride as im a stay at home mom to going on 5 and he supports us all. so confused and depressed.

I was taught good manners befitting an officer's grandson in the early seventies, yet the only times my good maners are not laughed at are at SCA events and Sci-fi/fantasy conventions. I am a published poet but that too is treated with ridacule and laughter. what is worse, I do not know how to be any other way, when I try to be a "bad boy" it just comes off as being fake.

this guy that i met a little while ago, i've come to like quite a bit-- we have fun whatever we're doing, and we can just hang out with me and him and do nothing and be fine. the first night we hung out with just us, it took a minute but eventually we were all cuddled up in a luv sac, then he called me one night while i was sick just to talk, and when i was with him last night i was sitting on the love sac and he was on the couch, and we were just watching a movie, but like an hour later he finally came and laid with me in the luv sac, and when we cuddle like that he loves to tickel me and kiss me lightly-- do you think this is potential couple material? any SERIOUS advise or thoughts please

My birthday just past yesterday & I didn't get 1 thing from my husband. Not a gift, not a dinner out, not even a card. He worked late. We moved to this area 7 months ago & I have NO friends or family here, the closest are over 7 hrs away. So I sat in my livingroom eating leftovers & watching TV last night with my dogs for my bday.
His bday celebration was a 2 wk affair. On his actual bDAY I took him for to dinner to his fav resturant, that weekend I took him to a prof baseball game (even called ahead & got his name put on the jumbo-tron), gave him gifts gallore (tools, clothes, stuff for car, etc), got his favorite cake made. The 2nd wkend following his bday I took him for a long wkend away to the beach, stayed at a resort, also bought him gifts there.
In his defense he is working LOTS, but then again he has an hour lunch everyday & my birthday comes at the same time every year.
I am depressed & hurt. I feel like again, I went all out for him, nothing for me.
Am I Overreacting?

I have been dating a guy on and off for over a year, everytime we break up its has something to do with other girls ( not cheating) he did a bunch of research online and determined he has commitment issues because of his past with his mom. I know this girl and we get on really well, my parents adore her (infact my mother keeps trying to get me and her together) and she gets on well with my friends. We have hooked up a few times, but thats generally after drunken nights out. I really like her, but shes fat.
I have always said I wouldnt go for a big girl, I've never found them attractive before, but shes got this sexy aura thing going on. Im afraid that if I start going with her my friends are going to rip the piss royaly. I have another girl ive been seeing for a few weeks, shes gorgeous and cute, and we ge on well but no where near the same as me and this other bird, I could talk to her about anything.

Im 24 and the girls are both 18

What shall I do, get with the big bird and dump the hottie?
Or
Stay friends with the big girl, and date the hottie?

My ex is a bit of a momma's boy, some of it I believe out of fear of his mom. His mom a total control freak, suddenly decides she doesn't like me. She makes up lies about me, says horrible things to me, and tells him to stay away from me. He sneaks around to see me but things are strained, not like they use to be. Calls are at a low and so are visits, always excuses why he can't call or come over, a lot of them stupid excuses. He won't stand up to his mom but given the choice of standing up or loosing me he would rather stand up. He plans to but he takes his sweet *** time. Being an emotion wreck for 2 months because of it all I snap at him about it all. He says he loves me, he's sorry, and he'll call me later. Later turns into a week and he won't even answer my messages, we were suppose to go to a concert that week but he never came over. All though apparently he had gone, according to his friends....
