She is doing everything she can so you don't get genital warts. Even using a condom, you can still get genital warts on the parts that are uncovered.

She doesn't want you to get genital warts since she knows the what it is like to have them. Be supportive and educate yourself.

This is a very difficult situation since she can still spread to you even if there is no obvious breakout. You need to consult a doctor with her and explore the options.

I am absolutely terrified and I feel so alone. I just found out last week that I tested positive for hsv1 and 2. I have been with the same man for the past 10 years and within the last year found out that he has cheated on me with numerous women. I am so scared that I can give it to my children by kissing them and them eating with me...I feel like my whole life has changed. And even though the nurses, my doctor, and websites say that a lot of people have it I still feel like I am by myself. My self esteem has dropped and I feel like I have been used up. But now, My life is very happy.

If you're really serious about her, then the two of you should go to her doctor together. Make sure that she is taking medication, ask the doctor when it will be safe for you two to have sex, wait until that time, and then when you do, use a condom!
