It has happened to me twice. One of them is now my husband. It is just such a great feeling when you look into their eyes for the first time. I remember how they looked and when I first met them. It is just so amazing. It is a feeling you can't quite explain really.

This is how my husband & I met. Our eyes locked from across a crowed bar & it was amazing it just was like they always say in the movies & I knew right then that he was it. So no, you're not just hoping for excitement that can't ever happen cause it does happen I'm proof. My husband said the same thing, he knew right when he first saw me that I was the one for him. He was playing pool with a friend & I came into the bar & sat down & our eyes met & we just looked @ each other for what seemed like a long time. He walked up to order a drink & I waited for him to say something but he chickened out, so I told the bartender to put his drinks on my tab & so that gave him an excuse to speak to me. We've been together ever since that was almost 9 years ago. We've been married for over 6 years with a two year old little girl. Life is good now that we met so it does happen & I'm sure that it will happen for you too. Be patient.

That's the way it happens in Holywood movies, and after watching so many of them you think it's the norm! It certainly never happened to me! In fact the opposite has happened: I've met a girl who hasn't struck me in any significant way, but after getting to know her I've found her to be absolutely terrific. Maybe that's the way it should be. I'll say that great looks very rarely mean great personality.

You are definitely not alone. I found my first love sitting on a wood stump back in 1945 and when i saw her beautiful smile i lit up on the inside! She just smiled as if she already knew what was going on inside of me and the night that i got that first kiss i knew that she was and is the only girl for me.

a shame that so much is based on the physical anymore.....when there is so much more to a person ...
while in school felt this one guy was so handsome.....always admired him from afar......
now he is very short, balding in a big way and married the most unattractive girl in our school......
time has a way of changing things - if base it only on the physical
otherwise - appears to be a family loving, hardworking fellow
beauty truly is in the eye of the (heart) beholder!

I find I'm usually disappointed when I start talking to them. I did have one exception and dated this beautiful, beautiful man when I was spending a summer overseas. It was the most perfect summer romance ever. It could never have lasted, so I'm glad it ended while it was perfect.

I saw this guy, and I swear my knees buckled a little. My legs were like shaking. He was just amazing. And yeah, he's not drop dead gorgeous.. my friends think he's cute, but not "amazing". But to me he was. (is). Anyway, we met, hung out, started dating, and had an amazing relationship. It was love at first sight for sure. It can happen, and it WILL happen, unless you walk around with your eyes closed.

I can honestly tell you that I am firm believer in love at first sight. I fell in love with my husband the very first time I saw him. There was definitely "something about him."

God yes. That kind of feeling is one of the greatest things in the world, gives off a greater high than any drink or drug. Treasure it, my friend.
