I have a few friends who are very popular and I talk to them whenever I see them and they're very nice...anyways. i want to be popular because i want to be recognized like my freinds always are. or does my being freinds with a bunch of popular people already make me popular?

Okay, I've had problems with my mom for so many years. We did nothing but argue and she did nothing but abuse me and I did nothing to her. She accused my father of sexually assaulting me. Which is not true, I swear on her grave. She always made excuses for me not to see him. How evil. She was heavily medicated and sick-minded. I know she is my mother but I can't forget what she did. I will forgive her but I don't have to talk to her. She and my dad divorced, after three years, I finally get the right to live with my dad. If I were to have children, should I involve them in their lives or keep her away from them?She may turn them against me for I all know. I'm 16!

What do you think on this subject? I personally think that having a open marriage makes no sense, why not just stay unmarried if all you are going to do is have sex with people other than your partner.

Well i work as a secutary and my fiance works as a safety advisor in the same company, yesterday my boss made him drive trucks for 3 days even though he has mountains of work to do beofre the end of the week. anyways i was angry adn told the boss that he is upset about this and now the boss is angry and i will either get fired or he will and i dont want him to cause he does so much for me and i just came out and opened my mouth like an idiot and im so upset. should i just leave him and hope he gets on with his life or whta?? help me please

My best friend has slowly been pushing me back. I went from best friend #1 to #2, and then to #3. And I'm tired of this. She claims she loves me and that she wants to be friends forever, but I don't feel the love. I feel like she's keeping me close for different reasons. So I just ignored her today. i think she's right too??? i dont kno what to do... she's a sophmore, and im a freshman... like if she disses someone, i did too today... i couldnt believe it.. b/c im not that type of person... immedialty after i said those harsh words, i knew something was wrong when they came tumbling out...

then this gurl 'whos a bad influence' on me started sayin that my other frinds had attitude problems and i wouldnt here of it....

My fiance's parents are going through a really nasty divorce. Actually they are already divorced and are in the process of selling their house. My father-in-law is very violent and abusive. He follows my mother-in-law from work to home(she lives with us), he is constantly calling and harrassing her, and told us he is going to kill her and himself. He hasn't worked in 15 years, and she has worked 12 hours days for 15 years to make the house payments, now the house is in the process of closing and he says that he is not going to give her any of the money. He tells her that he will give her $10,000 if she sleeps with him everyday until the money comes. She told him to keep his money and that she is worth way more than $10,000. Meanwhile he still steals her atm card and gambles away her money. I keep telling her she needs to get a restraing order and go see a lawyer, but she is extremly afraid for her life. Just a couple weeks ago he hit in the face for not having sex with him. Meanwhile

So here’s the deal. I’ve liked this girl for a long time now and have finally worked up the nerve to go talk to her. But every time I see her in the halls, or wherever I am, and try to approach her, she always has her eyes glued to the floor and walks right by me. The only time she looks at me is in a class we have together. I’ve sent her a couple notes with my email so she doesn’t have to talk on the phone or what not. I don’t understand it. My wife has told me that before we start a family we must stop alcohol intake completely for at least the next 3 - 4 months. I would call our consumption light - we go out on a weekend (Friday & Saturday) for dinner and I usually have a couple of beers. I don't mean a couple as in cases I mean as in 2 - 3 pints, she never drinks. Neither of us smokes. We never drink at home but I do enjoy those beers at the end of the week. Is she right that even this amount of alcohol could affect our children's future development? Please no absue ladies I am merely a dumb husband.

My girlfriend and I are on the brink. We have both been through hell lately and I am at a loss for answers. She broke up with another man last spring and then we started dating. We now live together and the old boyfriend is now trying to break us up. He did some pretty nasty things to her including jepardizing her having custody of her children. I can't help but to have ill feeling towards him. She is now so messed up over him because he is a person who can say just the right things. By the way, he is also married....My relationship with her has been so incredible up until now. We have so many things in common. We shared love like neither of us had had before. I want her back and to get him out of our lives. As long as he continues to harass us she will always be messed up emotionally.

I have always had a pretty irrational (hopefully) fear of love and commitment because society has impressed upon me that men are unhappy with their wives. There's this girl at my school that I know and I;m pretty damn sure she likes me. She stares at me during class A LOT and she'll come up to me after lunch to ask what the homework was for the bell before it(even though she knows what it is). So I know she likes me, but the other day on the bus I asked her if she liked me. Before when I was getting ready to ask it it's like she knew what I was going to ask and kept saying "Hey I forgot something I have to tell you umm... umm.." and she was trying to avoid me asking it. Then I asked it and she said "Kinda sorta maybe" Then I got off the bus and said "Well I like you". Ever since then she hasnt been talking to me that much. i usually am the one to call. he calls occasionally, but says he is worried to call me because i might be busy at my job. so, i left a VM for him saying, 'i am not going to call you anymore. this is how i feel. i have nothing else to say. bye.' how might he interpret this? ok, so i called him back today and left another VM apoligizing for being a bit rude and immature. i said 'we are both going through a difficult time, it was rude of me to take my anger out on you. call me back if you want to talk about this.' he didn't call me back yet. we are both going through difficult separations from our spouses. did i do the right thing? i talked to him today and he said that the message made him upset, but then he was in the middle of work and said he had to go and that he would call me back, but he did not. is he crazy? or am i? or both?
