People who do this have normally been taught that with good reason we should trust no one. They (including me) want to also strive for perfection to the point that we must think about things over and beyond in order to make sure we have covered all of the basis and have complete accuracy.
Another reason is due to past trial and error. If we have already made this mistake and do not want to relive the situation. This may include infidelity, in this case it maybe someone else's actions that we are over thinking. Maybe because of a passed mistake that this or another person has made or one that you yourself have made.

You think too much in first place. If you don't is no future. Is just brain damage to think over the things and again. Find something nice to think to get over. Is normal for people who don want easily give up the reality.

We lack confidence to ask, because we are never taught how to communicate our feelings in an articulate non threatening way. We also are not always good at knowing exactly how we truly feel about things, so we work through our emotional honesty by analzying from every direction to see what feels best.

We do this because we always want a certain answer. When we think the outcome is goign to be bad, we overthink it. It's how humans operate...we want what we want, but we can't always get it.
