No,if you have your drinking under contol it should not be a problem. At the same time you may want to respect your wifes wishes. A few months isn't bad and you may find that you don't even miss it. If her concern is development of the baby then I would check with a doctor.

I dont understand these studies because a lot of children are concieved in a blind stupor. My son was a surprise due to a night of drunken passion (now Im blushing) but he is a beautiful, healthy, well behaved child. The stories I have heard about alcohol affecting children is when an alcoholic mother gives birth and the baby has withdrawls. I dont think a couple of drinks a week are going to affect your baby, It is also recommended that pregnant women have a glass of wine a day during pregnancy. There are babies concieved under worse situations.

It seems to me that your wife would like you to stop drinking completely, never mind the baby. Because there is no real reason for her worries- you DO NOT drink enough to damage your sperm - too much booze is bad for your sperm quality, but you harldy fit the description. Also, were you an alcoholic, your testostereone levels and sperm count would be lowered, making conception harder. But 2 to 3 drinks once or twice a week don't make you an alcoholic.
Perhaps you'd like to discuss her ideas about drinking before you agree or disagree with her suggestion. Perhaps she would want you to be a teetotaler like her. Perhaps she needs to lighten up.
And if she still cites medical worries (you never know what crap she might have read), make an appointment with an ob/gyn and ask. That ought to put her mind at peace. Because there is no scientific data to imply very moderate drinking on the males side in any problems with the offspring.

I wouldnt think 2 beers would affect it at all. After all..look how many drunks have hordes of kids. Now if it was her drinking I might say give it up for the duration but I doubt your having a couple would hurt.

Try cobra light lager it's got 0.05% alcohol and tastes just like the real thing , I've cut out drinking altogether since a health scare and stick to the low alcohol and cobra is the best one I've found.

Even a small amount of alcohol can effect the baby. If you want the best for your child give up drinking. Drinking can do you no good and can cause a lot of problems

If she gets you to stop once, she wont want you to start again,
She is getting to manipulative,Nip it in the bud now,
Show her who's boss.
God only knows what will efect the childs future development,
But one thing is for sure, two or three pints with a meal wont be one of them.?
What ever happens,I wish you and your good wife all the best,
Health and happiness for the future.

You could offer to do it out of solidarity - or not to drink alcohol in her company. However, I doubt that a couple of beers will have any decisive effect on conception.

That amount of alcohol wouldn't affect conception...except that, if she's not going off the pill until you stop drinking, your chances of conceiving are a lot less.
