Love is a many splendored thing, love lifts us up where we belong, all you need is love!
Love is like oxygen. Love is that undying intrinsic force in all people that unites us with the rest of the world. There is neighborly love, such as when we see a branch on a path in the park and we move it so no one will trip. There is brotherly love, suh as when a friend or a relative is in pain, and we embrace them, and we feel their pain, and all we want to do is take all of their pain from them so they don't have to feel it anymore. Then there is romantic love, between two lovers (man/woman, woma/woman, man/man). It is undying, neverending, and completing. It is that missing piece of the puzzle that, when it's right, it's right. Something just fits. You find yourself doing things for this person that they don't need, and you don't need, but you want them to be happy, because that is what makes you happiest. It is knowing that, even though this person may not be within arms' reach, they are always within hearts' reach, no matter what, when, where, or why. Never being alone, holding on to that feeling of fulfillment and joy. It may not always be easy, and sometimes you love so much it breaks your heart. But that is the true beauty of love: it is almost indefinable!
Love is what keeps the world going. Without love, Christmas would be without smiles. Without love, there would be no charity to help those who cannot help themselves.
Love is life. Until we have loved, we have not lived.

It's when you feel it in your heart that that the other person really loves you and they go out of their way to do something nice for you to make you happy. And it works the other way also. When you go out of your way to make them happy. It works both ways. And ALSO when you feel like you are on cloud 9 then you will know the true deep definition of love.

Trusting that person with everything you hold dear. Loving them for everything they are including their weird little flaws that every person has. When you are there for them because you don't feel complete when they are away. When you can't define what you feel but you just know it's love.
