with hybrid cars not making much noise. And everyone is a bad driver (except for me). Will we see more hybrids hitting and killing blind people.
Because the blind listen for car noises.
And drivers never look out for pedestrians.

Sceptics, can you also give me some links that prove climate change wrong.
Please all give me links about how much co2 nature produces, and how does earth get rid the co2 in it's atmosphere ( trees don't. Trees, after they die they release co2 back into the atmosphere)

Provide me links about new ways of producing energy, etc
Hard statistics.

Mr Jello and Liberal continually slander James Hansen, claiming that he's taken bribes from Kerry and Soros to...well, then don't specify for what purpose. They're content just to slander James Hansen and leave it at that.

Are global warming deniers so lacking in quality arguments to support their positions that they have to resort to slandering brilliant scientists?

I could spend all day pointing out the flaws in the few skeptic scientists. For example, the fact that Tim Ball lies about his credentials and is really just a geographer, or that Richard Lindzen doesn't believe that smoking causes lung cancer, but I'd rather discuss scientific evidence. I'd rather pick apart what Tim Ball tries to argue rather than point out that he's not an expert on the subject, as he claims.

Would global warming deniers rather slander people like Hansen and Gore than discuss scientific evidence, as appears to be the case? Why do they never discuss Hansen's scientific arguments?

And if it is how? Please provide link if possible!!!!

I have seen a lot of people on Y! bashing the ethanol and other bio-fuel products because "it wastes food" or "it takes X much gas to make" or any number of other uninformed reasons. Well I live in the midwest and in my area we had an extremely good year for many of the crops. So good in fact that there is no place to put all the crops from the harvest.

Here is a small article from a local news station
http://www.keloland.com/NewsDetail6162.cfm?Id=0,61587

I'm just curious if people who think Ethanol is bad have ever thought about this kind of situation. There is no place to put all of the excess crops, all the bins, elevators, and trains are full... the extra is being stored outside, in piles, on the ground. For anyone that doesn't know... that's not good. All the time and energy used to collect this energy source is being eaten by birds, mice, deer, mold, and being lost back into the ground. Ethanol is a way for us to use this energy, because it is already available.

Will the dams ever be 100% again in my lifetime? When will we see a summer where there are no bush fires and no water restrictions? Or will this be reality for this country for a very long time to come.

Mind you, a dry golf course is an eye sore.

Every link that is put forward to show proof of global warming ends up being a political statement. And all the proponents like to claim that 99% of all scientists believe in it.
If that were true, then why is it so hard to find one scientist that will make a statement that global warming/cooling/climate change is effected by man?

A lot of the skills that used to be used are very eco friendly. Do you have any of these eco friendly skills? Do you still use them?

I am thinking about the old skills which used things they had to hand, because they grew locally or used recycled materials such as:
bottling, jam making and preserving
willow items, baskets, lampshades
coppicing, drystone walling
curing meats and skins
making home prepartions for toiletries, medicines
making carts, buggies, trailers,
making own gardening implements/tools
bee keeping, making beeswax products
rag rug making, darning - who can darn now?

Any other old fashioned eco friendly skills you have?

I am 41, when we were kids everyone played outside. Kids went shooting, fishing, poaching, cycling, rambling, played in all the woods, meadows and streams. Is it much better for the environment now that they all stay indoors and play computer games?

Or not? Why not?

Imagine, your Aunt dies and leaves you money in her will equivalent to 30,000 British Pounds. The only clause is that you have to spend it on an environmentally friendly product/service/item or issue. And you MUST SPEND it or it is given to the local cat's home. What would you buy?

In the midst of the fighting, he noticed that the Americans had called up an oddly configured tank. Then to his amazement the tank suddenly let loose a blinding stream of what seemed like fire and lightning, engulfing a large passenger bus and three automobiles. Within seconds the bus had become semi-molten, sagging "like a wet rag" as he put it. He said the bus rapidly melted under this withering blast, shrinking until it was a twisted blob about the dimensions of a VW bug. As if that were not bizarre enough,he explicitly describes seeing numerous human bodies shriveled to the size of newborn babies.Cox report that former USSR once was deeply involved in exploring high-powered electromagnetic weapons, but now Russia is no longer pursuing them. I'm from the UK, I answer questions 'all english questions'. I am learning to get on with the textlish and some generally bad english around here, it's part of the territory. Why is it when I use the words colour or sceptic, probably others as well, people pick me up un my spelling (always sceptics so far) I'm sure they don't go round correcting everbody else. Is it a charater trait of sceptics? Would they insist I stay off the pavement and go out in just my pants?
