Sure they are useful sometimes but are we really that feeble that we can't do ANYTHING without them? Do we really need them absolutely everywhere?

Did you know that the factory that produces a hybrid car's battery adds more pollutants to the air than if you were to drive a regular car? Driving a hybrid not only doesn't save the trees, it also gives you less power (unless it's a Lexus).

I know that similar questions have been asked before, but I am having trouble finding a concrete and relatively easy way to deal with my situation. I am relocating to another country, and I have a bunch of electronics...everything from old cell phones, to an old computer with a monitor, that are not usable and need to be disposed. I don't want to stick them in a landfill, but I also cannot be dealing with a process that is extrodinarily painful in getting rid of these things. So, can anyone recommend an easy way to handle this? Thanks!

Lately I've been interested in the trend towards living a more "green" lifestyle and have been reading articles, reports and such. In many of these reports, there are references to travellers flying Coach instead of Business or First Class on commercial flights in order to be more "green". My question is: What is the connection between flying Coach and being more green? How does paying less money for airfare reduce pollutants and emmissions? Or am I missing a bigger picture here?

If Archimedes were wrong, with his body immersed in a liquid principile, then come up with a new theory. Ice cap melting will not result in a rise of sea level, unless you can prove that no ice cap is attached to the seabed, if it is floating, it is a body immersed in a liquid. Study the principle, cause and effect.

I've been watching the movie, An Inconvient Truth. While I think Mr. Gore presents some scientific evidence to suggest that global warming is connected to human activity, I am confused as to why he includes material that is not at all relevant to the topic.

Is he still bitter about the 2000 presidential election results? What about the situation with his son at age 6?

Yes, I am a skeptic about much of this global warming talk. I am watching the movie to become more educated about the different views. I would like to know where he obtained the scientific evidence that is presented in the film.

Given who is presenting this material, I think that Mr. Gore is using this as a political platform. For those of you who have watched the film, what do you think?

I went on the internet to find the source of information on where to dispose of my flouriscent light bulbs, for the shock of hearing that the light bulbs have some mercury in it? (ACK!)

Someone want to clarify that for me, before I freak out with panic attacksI wanna live healthy in my own place.

Thanks, Nervous Quin...
