I saw this show called "the weather in year 2100" on the Science Channel and the consequences are unimaginably devastating, for example, 2/3 of the Amazon will be a desert a century later. And I don't think the government is even realizing the potential effects on Earth 100 years later. So how could we cure a Global Warming? and What the hell are we doing right now to fix this problems? We're just letting it happen and watch it as it deteriorates.

I remember when Hurricane Francis came over my home town in Florida and the Weather Channel, this is before the power went out of course, was giving us a 90% chance of precipitation for the day. I looked outside to see my bark porch flooded and winds lashing the palms. That 90% chance was the result of data entered into computer models apparently with a 10% margin of error. If these models give results like this can we really trust these global warming models? Especially when these models do not take into account variables such as atmospheric water vapor and location of weather stations?

I am seeing doubles every where. Mainly when I look at a clock it will be 2:22 or 4:44, guess im seeing triples. Any way its one of the two. All day. Its even when I get a reciet or change, or I put something in the microwave I'll have to reset the timer because someone stoped it at 55 sec. or 11 sec. This has happend before not only to me but to almost everyone around me. I'll even wake up in the middle of the night and look at the clock and it will be 1:22 or 3:33 something with double or triple numbers. This happens from time to time...I'll see these for two or three weeks everyday all day then it stops. 4 or 5 months later its back.

My question is, Is there a web site that shows the different meaning of signs if signs do exist or has anyone had a similar experience.

Its a bit far fetched - but I am a bit worried that there is a possibility of global warming bringing about the extinction of mankind by releasing the unknown. Unless of course someone knows better...

Can anybody please find me an article published this year in which a skeptic argues that global warming is false??

P.S. I DO believe in global warming; I just want to find a scientific article published that disagrees.

If all gasoline cars can be converted to E-100 (100% grain alcohol) right now, for less than $1,000, if it will free us from terrorist's oil, if it will create a zero-net carbon footprint for all vehicles, if it will provide American farmers with a new boom market, if it will burn cleaner, not be affected by water absorbtion (within reason - that matters up north here), why in the hell are we still buying oil from the people who attacked us on 9/11?

Think about it. One the Earth warms up and the polar icecaps melt, the huge Arctic oil reserves will be at our disposal. Cheap gas galore! Ready for the picking!

Do you think Bush was dumb to invade Iraq when all he had to do was get everyone to drive their gas guzzlers around the block a few times?

Let's talk about solutions now. The basic goal of Kyoto is to require the most-developed nations to reduce CO2 emissions by 5.2 percent levels by around 2010. This target year is almost upon us and realistically, the Kyoto goals will not be met.

However, let's say a new treaty is signed by these nations and they find some way to meet the goals of the treaty? What would be the tangible positive results that would make it worthwhile for all these countries to comply, when trying to prevent global warming would mean considerable economic hardship for them and much harm for the developing countries?

This is where the rubber meets the road. This is the practical side of this issue. Proponents of man made global warming, this is your opportunity tho shine. What are the measures that should be taken by these countries to prevent further warming and even reduce it in the future. Please, provide clear and concise answers. Let’s provide solutions!

In February, the U.K. Government decided that all British school children should be forced to watch Al Gore's An Inconvenient Truth, without any warnings about how exaggerated and one-sided the film is.

A British judge has just ruled that they must be given such a warning. (See... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/news/worldnews.html?in_article_id=485336&in_page_id=1811 )

He has stated that the film *does* promote "partisan political views", and that children should be warned that there are other opinions on global warming and they should not necessarily accept the views of the film.

Global Warming Alarmists say that An Inconvenient Truth ‘got the basic fact right’, but if the rest of the film is now officially labelled as promoting a political agenda can we finally agree that the film is *not* to be recommended as a good source of information regarding climate change?
