Could there not be possibly other explanations on why the planet seems to be warming up in places that it shouldn't? Could it not be something that is just meant to happen in the first place?? I think if the planet is going to warm up, I personally don't think there is a lot we can do about it.

Scientists already know how much warming will occur in the next 50 to 100 years. These details are known to a rather small range of error, that warming is likely to be very modest and that we humans have very little to do with it, and that there is nothing we should or can do about it. The man-made global warming alarmists and ideologues are not telling the truth. What is behind the hypocrisy and deceit?

The main problem of our world is global warming & pollution. Everything is changing and has changed. Global warming & pollution affects nature, animals, people, climate and many others. In stead of all countries living in peace and harmony and trying to save our world, we fight. And for what??? I would like that autumn & spring wouldn't disappear and winter to be winter with snow. I really miss those years. So tell me what do you regret/miss with this dramatical change??? Do you agree that we should all do something to save our world before is to late???

get as realistic as possible about what we can actually do about climate change. Everybody seems to be so enamored by this idea we've got to cut emissions and we've got to cut them right now. And I understand why: because it makes us feel warm and fuzzy. We're doing something. Of course the real fact of the matter is we don't do very much. We promise a lot, but we don't actually do very much. And the honest-to-God reason is it's fairly expensive.

Rich people in rich countries will do a little, mainly for show. But most people in rich countries won't do very much, and certainly no one in the poor countries will do anything.

This is for those enviromentalists that have accepted climate change as a fact, so bicker somewhere else if you disagree with the idea.
Isn't it time to redirect most efforts to climate change and lessening the effects, rather than focussing on the preserving a small number of endangered species whose specific habitats are threatened? The not in my backyard efforts to halt projects like the one against Cape Cod wind farms, for save the manatee sea lanes, or even assorted ski slopes and housing developments would seem to just destroy a lot of enviromentalism's credibility and divert resources and attention away from the real species killer, climate change.

Isn't it time to start practicing triage?

The climate has changed for billions of years.
It's been much hotter and much colder.
The temperature has gone up and down slower and faster.
There has been much more and much less CO2 in the atmosphere.
The CO2 has increased and decreased at slower and faster rates as well before humans exsisted.
Also other planets in the solar system are changing at the same rate as earth.

Why is it any different now?

How can this be attributed to humans when this has all happend even before Humans were here?

It seems that the so called environ"MENTAL" crowd should be behind global warming, if it's going to be as bad as they say. All of the catastrophy that they claim will happen
will only result in a reduction of population, a key component in there argument to stop global warming.

And if the debate is over, do the proponents of global warming/Climate change, understand they have lost?

I'm helping in a story for my journalism class at school! The story is for the school newspaper and it is going to be on the greenhouse effect and what teens can do to help stop it! I need some help with it though so any suggestions you can give me would help!
I need simple ways teens can help. You know, things they can actually do! I live in the LA area so it's a city place, hopefully that small factor can help with suggestion making!! hahaa!!
Thank You!

I am on the student council at my school and i am trying to make the school better for the enviroment. One of my ideas is putting up nest boxes in some of our trees. The school is in central Ohio and our trees include some soft bristle pines and some other decidous trees. I was wondering what kind of birds we should be able to attract, how to attract them, and how to make sure that we buy good quality nest boxes that will be easy to clean and stand up to weather, as well as be good for the birds too of course. I also need to know how far to space them apart so that i know they will all be used. please answer, the next student council meeting is coming up and i we dont have them very often so i need to be ready with ideas and facts etc. Thank you in advance for the help. I will pick best answer :)

I mean, they even looked at transfer of energy using microwaves at some point. With so many types of radio wave filling our atmosphere, surely, even by a miniscule amount, it must be having a slight effect?

It seems like every global warming skeptic around here makes completely bizarre and incorrect claims with absolutely nothing to support them. We've got people slandering James Hansen with no evidence, we've got people claiming that climate scientists can't agree on the causes of global warming, others who claim they agree it's due to the Sun, etc. etc.

We've got people claiming then Sun is responsible for global warming and then citing papers that say it's responsible for a maximum of 30% of the recent warming. At least that's some scientific evidence, but it doesn't support their arguments.

We've got people claiming that the stratosphere is warming when it's in the middle of an obvious long-term cooling trend. Again, at least it's using scientific data, but that's the closest we get to an argument with valid evidence to support it.

Can any global warming skeptics please make an argument and support it with valid scientific data? I want to argue science, not opinion.
