I mean, they even looked at transfer of energy using microwaves at some point. With so many types of radio wave filling our atmosphere, surely, even by a miniscule amount, it must be having a slight effect?

i highly doubt it...

No, we just don't produce the kind of power required (and except for ionospheric heaters we try to get the signal through the atmosphere, not absorbed by it).

Transfer of energy by microwaves would not produce that much heating of the atmosphere (some localised heating of the ionosphere it passes through but even if we got all our power from beaming microwaves from space to earth it wouldn't have enough of an effect to be noticed).

it will have an effect - extremely minuscule-you would probably need the calorimeter at CERN to see the effect- the long low energy radio frequencies are not absorbed well by molecules
- as you can be in a concrete bunker and still here your radio just fine.

microwaves are absorbed making molecules vibrate

and IR is absorbed making chemical bonds vibrate with greater amplitude

UV is absorbed and breaks chemical bonds - releasing heat

compared to the massive amount of inbound energy at all frequencies from the sun and the amount being emitted in IR from the ground - the small amount produced by radio stations and other communications is extremely minuscule

Radio waves won't do anything. What's causing the problem is everything that gives off CO2. Computers give off CO2 as well as just about everything else that we humans use. Burning fossil fuels also contribute to the problem and the problem started at the beginning of the industrial revolution back in the 19th century.
So, enjoy listening to your radio as it also puts CO2 into the atmosphere.

More likely caused by by the rapid increase in the number of computers being produced. So destroy your computer now to save the planet.
