Global warming, regardless of cause is expected to warm the poles more than the tropics, warm the winters more than the summers, and warm the nights more than the days. The northernmost and southernmost countries will be most affected by temperature.

Of the African nations, Morocco, Algeria, Libya and Egypt on the north and South Africa on the south will be most affected by temperature.

The northernmost nations - Canada, the Scandanavian countries, Russia, and the U.S. (Alaska), are seeing the accelerated melting and permanent disappearance of glaciers and ice caps first hand. Argentina and Chile in the southern hemisphere, near their southern most tips, near Antarctica has also seen the disappearance of important glaciers that were also sources of drinking water.

In Tanzania (or is it Kenya), Mount Kilimanjaro had a glacier on its top that has also disappeared for good and people that live there have noticed the permanent and damaging effects of the loss of this glacier that was immortalized in the book "The Snows of Kilimanjaro".

The severe drought in Australia is believed to be caused by global warming.

Greece has had incredible fires in this year, 2007, that have never been seen before, and the entire continent of Europe has seen deadly heatwaves for the past several years.

North America, year after year, has seen a trememdous increase in uncontrollable wildfires and violent weather patterns.

Personally, I've noticed an unexplained expanding growing season and mild winters, which I can't complain about, but it also tends to dry out the land after winter a lot faster, which isn't good at all - drought and increased danger of forest fires isn't a good thing.

These are only the major and few of the many disasters brought on by global warming and the loss of the great forests being paved over by the industrial / economic complex. Eventually, industry and the economy will have to change and adjust and try and stop global warming, or the losses will constantly be larger than profits.

Although many people in these areas have been effected by these disasters, it hasn't been enough to stop the onslaught of industry and the destruction of the world as we know it. So stay tuned for more...

Have a nice day :)

The earth will go through cycles as we do. It's a normal progress. If we cook, then we cook, if we freeze than we freeze, we can't stop it. You'll die one day and so probably will the earth one day. All the recycling BS I have it up to my ears. Where it makes sense OK. But primarily it's about that you pay someone to pick it up for you and they turn around to make money from it. It's all about Money. What really harms the earth are huge factories and refineries, that pump chemicals into water without end. There had been found several ways to power cars with Water and other. But the Oil industry and the car makes would loose money. It's all about the money. Look at Al Gore, preaching and not practicing, while driving his big car, living in a huge house and flying private jets wasting all that energy. He doesn't seem too concerned now does he? Next thing he'll say is that we humans killed the dinosaurs. Because we're all idiots and he knows it all.

Global warming is a natural occurrence, as is global cooling. It affects all countries in one way or another. It's not caused by humans or cows or any particular life form on the planet. Many scientists relate the cycles to sun activity, so don't worry about things you have no control over.

Most African countries get hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's no different than it's ever been. Animals adapt to these changes as they have for millions of years.

Countries with people will be most affected! Global warming affects everyone in all sorts of ways.

Coastlines will get diminished as the levels of the Earth's oceans rise. This is due to melting ice, both at the North and South pole.

Tropical parasites and vermin will spread to previously unaffected regions. This is because as places that were once to cold for these parasites to survive are now getting warmer. This can affect crop production and increase the spread of disease.

Change in wind patterns will drastically affect weather conditions. Certain countries may face temperature extremes of either extreme cold, extreme rain or extreme heat. This was already seen in Europe, Asia and America this year.

Flooding will increase as more sea water evaporates due to warmer temperatures and hence causes more rain. Also glaciers which feed rivers will melt faster causing rivers to break their banks.

This year has seen the most floods across the world in recorded history. There were hundreds of floods in India, China, Bangladesh, and in places where it was less expected like Northern England.

There were innumerable forest fires in Mediterranean Europe this year as temperatures soared.

There have been increased Hurricanes in Japan and America this past year.

There will be a lot more to come this following year.

Australia at the moment is going through a long and tough drought, which most believe is due to global warming. We've got pretty strict water restrictions in place: no washing cars, no refilling pools, no watering lawns and limited hours for watering gardens.
Some low-lying island countries will be completely flooded and disappear permanently.

I don't know if there's a 'mostly' affected, there's a lot of different things that could happen - and in our case, are happening.

Countries will be affected in different ways, but all will be affected.

It won't be a Hollywood style disaster. Gradually coastal areas will flood and agriculture will be damaged. But it will be very bad.

Rich countries will cope, but it will take huge amounts of money. The result will be a worldwide economic depression.

In poor countries damage to agriculture will cause food shortages. Many people will die of starvation, but not all of them. Bangladesh is a good example, since they also have much agricultural land only a little above sea level.
