More global warming.

People are stupid the will not change.

The leaders are too greedy and do not want to loose money and stop what their doing to cause global warming.

The weather may become worse with more hurricanes, Typhon's, Tornadoes, flooding, Earthquakes and what ever else might happen.

Stop Global warming and quit worrying about money.

With this stupidity I want to look on the bright side.

At least it is getting warmer.

Nothing out of the ordinary lies before us in the next 10 years. Global warming is MUCH more subtle and slower than that. The scientists are talking about the changes in 100 years, not in 10 years. (And even then the changes they are talking about are not exactly big, IMO.) Al Gore says this all the time. He says how it will slowly creep up on us unnoticed, so slowly that people will just get used to it without knowing that they have experienced a change, so slowly that they take longer than a human lifetime, so that, for example, children growing up in an area that maybe had some snow in winter, but not a lot like Canada, but no longer does, will never know that it used to snow there in winter when their parents were young because they didn't ever see it themselves. But Al Gore compares this slow advance to a frog in a pot of water on a stove. The frog does not notice the water getting hotter and just sits there as the water slowly gets warmer until it dies in boiling water. The problem with that story is the IMPLICATION that global warming will eventually boil us all to death, and it just will not do that. The Earth has experienced natural global warming more than once in the past that was more extreme than what we could ever cause even by burning all the coal and oil in the world. Those warm periods were good for life on Earth, not bad. So Gore is not technically lying to you but he is doing what all successful politicians do, which is to tell a slanted story that makes you make up your own lies in your imagination in such a way that you THINK he actually told them to you. But he can point to the movie and show you the exact words and prove he never said that if anybody challenges him. Then he gets in his private jet and flies away while telling you to give up your car. (Which is my slanted story, because he doesn't really say to give up all cars.)

Good point. We do have a lack of knowlege about global warming. The study of this phenomenon is difficult because the temperature data used from the past is not very accurate, and the theories cannot be proven. The warming is so slow it is hard to measure even a yearly change with conventional measuring equipment. Just realize that it is hard to find a device that can measure accurately down to .01 degree change even now. Add to that the fact that we don't even have direct temperature data for periods very far in the past and the data being used is analysis of chemicals in ice cores and tree rings, etc. to estimate what the temp. was.

It will take many many years of accurate imperical data to even have an accurate picture of how fast the globe is really heating up. All this hype is based on estimates and theories which is the best we have for now.

See CO2SCIENCE.ORG and look at the temperature data for your area.

To those who have the power to change things to improve the planet won't because money is the overiding factor. In these times, money is everything. In the 90's, our country's(usa) government took efforts to keep electric cars from the market. Saturn made an electric car they leased only in CA, after strict EPA standards were introduced, that could drive 300 miles a charge and had comparable acceleration and speed to a gas car. The federal government stepped in and forced CA to do away with those strict EPA emissions laws. Then, Saturn took back the elecric cars at the end of the lease, in the face of owners who protested to keep them, and destroyed the cars.

That was done because those electric cars wouldn't produce as much income as gas powered vehicles due to less parts, oil free, gas free etc. Even though CA leads the nation in worst air quality, which is a hazard to the so-called "people" who this nation was built for, they kept a vehicle that would have increased the quality dramatically. It was all done for money.

Dramatic steps won't be taken to stop global warming until something very serious happens that warrants the change.

Well, simply, global warming is just a scare tactic of the liberals. The earth is just as warm as it was 2000 years ago. Global warming is not an issue because it does not exist. People may think it does, but it doesn't.

A lack of knowledge on any issue is usually pretty easy to correct these days, especially one that is in the news every day. A person has to actively avoid the facts to be uninformed about Global Warming.

Well, in 10 years I will be 43, my son will be 23, I will have more gray hair. Who knows what will happen in 10 years, anything is possible what I do know is in 10 years we will still have a lack of knowledge of what will happen in the future. I think we need to live one day at a time and try not to borrow more trouble than we have.

You made the point 'lack of knowledge', what ever the situation is now, we don't know what will be in 10 years time.
Accept that, make the best plans you can and live.

Reproductive problems, cancers, drought, mutation and ultimately extinction. Hell is coming for what we are doing in the name of economy.

How do we complain about the amount of CO2 while we chop down every tree that takes in CO2. Plant a tree

you may not like my thought on this issue since you are a proponent of this theory.....while i do agree some minimal warming is taking place due to advances in technology, if you look back over time, there are normal flucuations of temperature and climate over periods of time and we are in a warming period......too bad we won't be alive in a couple thousand years when the cooling period takes place to prove all these global warming advocates wrong....
