What are some challenges the Earth's population must face as we begin the 21st century?

We have increasing populations, but eventually we will reach carrying capacity where these people are no longer sustainable on Earth. (Think, China, Africa, etc). I already have lack of healthcare, and resource depletion (water, soil, etc).

What are some ways we can take responsibility for ensuring a sustainable future for the planet? What actions can we take?

Thanks in Advance!

Who should i call to report the giant oil slick going on in my neighbors driveway, on a warm day i can smell it when i walk outside and when it rains it will wash down to the storm drain and end up in our rivers and streams.

For example: We create a better means to increase crop yield; this results in successfully feeding more people; more people survive; a growth in population eventually occurs; this inevitably leads to a need to feed yet more people; and, therefore, an even greater onus on the need to further increase crop yield. Are we not simply going around in circles?

Yes electrolysis is not the best way to produce hydrogen. But what about in cars for fuel enhancement? And on-demand torch applications? Are these uses BS? Are these uses not realistic?

This website surely does talk about it alot.

I mean, you would wwant to make it somewhere sunny, for solar panels, but somewhere that it was fairly windy, for wind power. And you wouldn't want water to freeze over in the winter - any ideas? Thanks! :-)

I also need to know if the sidewalks around the pool, which drain onto the pemeable soil in the yard, are considered impervious.
Any websites that can define this for me?
Thanks.
