Use the green marker to dye your prison uniform and then just walk out
carve the potato into a gun shape, dye it black with boot polish and hold up a guard to get you out
throw the chilli powder into a guard's face and escape
and... most bizarrely - dental floss will actually saw through prison cell bars
All of this was on the TV progamme "QI" a week or so ago - and all 4 methods have been used successfully - although not all together.
