A man eating shark??? I have never heard of that.. How many men had that eaten so far??? and for ur information a shark does not distinguish if you are a man or a woman ....
I am not sure how you are able to come up with such questions...

I think "man" refers to mankind. I don't think sharks are gender discriminatory.
But if they do have a preference they must be able to detect the pheromones or something of the sort which wouldn't be surprising as they have a very acute sense of smell.
