I mean come on, why would I care about what Leonardo DiCaprio or some other entertainer thinks about global warming? Who ever bestowed authority of these heavy matters onto people that simply act like someone ELSE for a living?

When it comes to politics, religion, or human welfare matters, wouldn't I be just as well off asking my plumber or hairdresser about as Tom Cruise?

Humanity is following a pattern that is awefully similar to a bacteria. http://www.eng.auburn.edu/~wfgale/usda_course/section2_images/section2_images_1/growth%20curve.gif
We are on the exponential point of the curve. Soon we will reach a plateau and then when the sources are polluted or depleted we will start a gradual demise and eventual extinction due to pollution and irreversible damage to the environment. How can we stop the human population from growing? Should the governments put punitive laws for couples who make more than two offsprings by either imprisoning them, hanging them, or even taking away their social security and benefits? Should we try explore other planets for the answer? Or maybe we want to close our eyes like we do now, till one day out of no choice we will fight each others like the inferior animals we are for the left over resources with military nations demolishing the weaker ones? What can we do to save humanity from itself? How can we stop mankind from sex?

I need to condense these sentences into one sentence. Can anyone help?

The environment the bacteria grow in affects greatly the rate the bacteria will multiply and grow. If the environment is suitable, then the bacteria will grow and multiply at a rapid rate. If the environment is not suitable, then the bacteria will grow at a lower rate or not grow at all.

I can easily tell what copper and brass are, but sometimes I get confused about aluminum and stainless steel. Sometimes i find old pieces of lead that I mistake for aluminum. What tips are there to positively tell metals apart? ( I don't always trust that guy at the scrapyard, either).

western hemisphere (the americas) to mix up all of their D.N.A. or slowly, evolve, adapt, and change to their new habitat.(no more stupidity) and then turn China respectfully into Shaolin City. giving the rest of the eastern hemisphere to wildlife and farming. "food for all! food for everyone!" no more pains of hunger and thurst. DONT YOU THINK ITS TIME FOR EARTH TO BE THE BEST SHE COULD BE.

what are your thoughts. would you love to see it as well.

I've heard so many people say it's just a warming "trend" and that the Earth will go back to its old ways in a century or so. Then there are other people who are literally freaking out over the whole thing. What is the truth?

1. This is just a warming trend and planets such as Mars and Venus are experiencing the same things, so we as consumers and manufacturers aren't the only culprits.

2. This world is going to hell in a handbasket and we really do need to do something about it.

I welcome all opinions.

In the near future there is a possibility for increasing the population manifold and if this continued, there would not have enough space for the whole population on the globe, because the population is being multiplie. When space restriction becomes, human would loss the vegetation and for food he would depend on co-lives - as the old myth of canniballs. What would you do after 50 years then?

I live in Central New York, one of the snowiest regions anywhere. We usually have several snow storms by Christmas. This year there has only been a little snowfall, the crocuses are coming up and the squirrels are still running around, using up all their hibernation fat. It's like spring here. What's going on that's weird where you live?

we all started to change our motor oil every 5,000 to 7,500 miles like the car designers recommend instead of the 3,000 miles that the oil companies recommend. Plus all the oil filters that would not have to be made and disposed of.Figure out average miles driven per year muliplied by the drivers of north american alone would equal millions of gallons a year.
