In Britain many reservoirs are standing half empty, temperatures are hitting record highs many crops are simply withering away and there is not going to be enough food for animals this winter. Is it like this where you are too? Is there anywhere in the world which is having normal/more than average rainfall?

I have seen spider webs stretched between 2 trees or buildings that are 4-5 feet off the ground. How do they get that web across these two points?

The period indicated in the question predates major CO emissions. Why didn't the cataclasmic events predicted by political figures not occur?

Why are scientific studies accepted by the Al Gore political backers not peer reviewed? Is this acceptable?

I have a new home and would love to be more environmentally friendly. Instead of the usual recycling (which i am cynical of-as they just transport it off to others countries for landfill in many cases) i would love to get solar panels or something

I feel that there's not enough people who care about our environment. We're all practically causing animals to become extinct like the polar bears in antarctica, but yet most of us don't take action. I try to bike where ever I go and I try hard to limit driving. I also recycle. What do you guys do to help the environment?

I've read that, in Iraq, the Marine's Reverse Osmosis Water Purification Units have removed cyanide and mustard-gas agents from Euphrates River water and created pure safe drinking water. I realize the output of these units are limited, but, can they be used daily for community drinking water here, where we're warned not to drink our slightly radioactive well water?

What is megahertz in radio/tv transmission? Is it always positive; any probable or possible consequences, and scientific effects? Is there any effort to explore the negative and to unlimit the extent?

Trash is trash...it doesn't matter where it came from! Some of it gets recycled, some goes to landfills, and some gets kicked around on the street.

I was just curious as the what the big difference is.

how many authenticated (is this word right to use here) drinks are in this world. I know few like beer, wiskey, brandy, rum, vodka, gin, wine......

Tell me how many are there, and list it out. The most crucial thing i need to know is what is all each made off (raw material).......like vodka from potato. rum from grapes (if iam right).....

I previously had this question removed because of a small additional phrase which was deemed insulting. In fact, the phrase undermined the seriousness of my question and it is better without.
I believe that Creationism is untrue. I also think that its advocates employ the crude but effective devise of accusing evolutionists of doing exactly what they do - such as selectively interpreting or even surpressing scientific evidence.
Evolution theory is the result of years of research, and does not in any way oppose any conception of God, other than literal interpretation of scripture.
I urge anyone who feels uneducated about the theory of evolution to read, for example, The Blind Watchmaker by Richard Dawkins. This book opened my eyes to the true complexity and logic of evolution theory and made me see the evolution of, say, the human eye, is not only conceivable but probable - and deeply astonishing.
