Supposedly green house gases trap radiation and prevent it from leaving the earth into outer space. But these gases are heavier than air, they should be close to the earth's surface, how are they in the upper atmosphere and acting as a "blanket"?

Do you think that Nature is so harm that there is definitly no way back?

WHat do you think about what is already being done and what is already happening?..

Heat Warnings, Power Offs, Extreme weather conditions? If it is possible, do you wish to restart our lives?

It is much warmer at the poles now than 20 years ago and the ice packs retreat miles farther every year. The glaciers in Glacier National Park are shrinking so much that they will no longer exist in the summer in 10 years or so. What is your explanation for these phenomena?

Take for instance: since gas prices are so high, it might cost you more to go out to a store & shop. If someone went out and shopped for you, and was cheaper then the gas you would have spent; would you pay them to do the shopping for you (saving time & money)?

P.S.
& it's more eco-friendly ...

In another question I asked, users were alluding to new, cheaper, better solar technology that's on its way in the next year. However, a solar panel installer I saw speak said that the technology is fairly well established and the year over year improvements are incremental, not innovative at this point. Can someone point me to articles about the solar technology that's coming soon that will outdate what's in the market today?

I am curious as to how much raw material is needed to produce a gallon of ethanol. Corn vs. sugarcane and other materials that might be used to produce ethanol. Also what the cost of production might be.

I can only afford to do one at this point in time at my house. Financially, it is a wash (The outlay for Solar Photovoltaic is much higher but is offset by savings on my electric bill and substantial New York State subsidies & tax credits. I assume switching from oil to gas for heating is a financial wash after the up-front conversion costs). Here are the relevant facts for my house: we burn, despite all our conservation efforts, about 1600 gallons of #2 heating oil a heating season. I can fit a 4.590kW Solar Array on my roof that is expected to net 5116(kWh) a year. I already bought a Prius so don't suggest that as a better environmental solution. Any help with this decision would be appreciated.

Friends, I have an idea, does it sounds worthy, can i procedd about it. I have an idea of dissolving the vehicular emission in water, later the same can be treated and disposed. I guess the smoke will dissolve in water (for eg. CO2 mixes with water to form carbonic acid...if I am right).

I am thinking of suggesting alteration in the tail pipe in the vehicles. Does it sounds weird or useless idea to continue about. I need suggestions.

I thought of writing a proposal for trying this out. Can anyone suggest the funding agencies for the same. Listen, I am in India and I am a post gradute in Environmental Sciences.

Please, give guidelines pal.

This planet could have been the perfect Utopia. How and why would any sane living breathing human oppose mandates that would take steps to eliminate global warming. And, if you use the argument that it doesn't exist... Why would you be willing to take that sort of a chance? IF you vote YES to fight global warming and it doensn't exist then you get a cleaner greener earth. Isn't that important to you? Clean water, and Air for you and future generations? Money is a man-made creation. Not everything is about Money!

It seems to me that this would be an endless source of energy. Walls or piers could be used to condense and direct the flow to create an even greater force.
