The earth has been gradually warming since the last mini-ice age in the 1400's (or so). In the 1970's, we were all told that environmental damage would cause a new ice age. Now we are told that it is causing global warming. Seems like the theories match the global events.

After doing a lot of reading, I have concluded that there may be global warming, but that is not evidence of environmental harm. The earth has a natural heating and cooling cycle and we are in a warming cycle now (although I have read that in the past 2 years, the average temperature has cooled slightly).

It is a natural phenomenon which is influenced by people. But it is not necessarily caused by us. Check the period at the end of the Paleozoic and the beginning of the Mesozoic. There was a huge mass extinction which almost wiped the amphibians out and reduced just about everything else to the same point. This is what gave the dinosaurs a jump start on all the others and kept mammals as small burrowers until the end of the Mesozoic. This warming cycle literally turned the majority of the planet into a desert. And yes, it might be happening again though the question is if it is a small one; several have happened in historical times, or a species killer.

The earth has gone thru periods of hot and cold spells since it's beginning and man was not around to blame, now greedy politicians and environmentalists have found a whipping boy to throw all the blame at and everyone jumps on the bandwagon, man has not been kind to it's surroundings but is not the sole reason for the earths problems,if man was not around, the earth would still go thru changes,it's been doing it for millions of years and man had nothing to do with it.

There is certainly some global warming caused by humans.
The question is how much...

Some would blame it all on humans..
Some would hold humans blameless.
I don't know how much of it is our fault...
I suspect that it is less than half...

The Earth constantly goes through hot and cold periods. Like the ice ages. Personally, I think humans might have made a dent in making it warmer, but it's already happening. We just like to think that everything revolves around us.
