Take for instance: since gas prices are so high, it might cost you more to go out to a store & shop. If someone went out and shopped for you, and was cheaper then the gas you would have spent; would you pay them to do the shopping for you (saving time & money)?

P.S.
& it's more eco-friendly ...
;-)

well AM you have to understand only the rich are busy enough to that kind of thing, they have maids/housekeepers who do that already, but remeber that cost of shopping is an adventure for those professional shoppers that shop for a living, it's eco friendy for us to spend our time wisely, if doing that helps save our time good. for myself it would be goood to shop for my self for my heart and stomach have different taste by day by day, so cool if this was an idea for a job for you to do; make a go of it!!!

If there was someone who would do my errands for less than the gas it would cost me to do them--absolutely yes. Now, how likely is that? I, unfortunately, drive a truck the size of a house. I'm happy to get 12 mpg in the city. The store is 3 miles away. Averaging a really slow 15 mph (including waiting at stop lights), the round trip will take 24 minutes, and I'll burn about a half gallon of gas. Even at $4.00/gal., I'm only burning $2.00 worth of gas. For the sake of convenience, let's say you could finish my shopping in 36 minutes. Are you willing to work for $2.00 an hour?

(And pay for your own gas?)
(Yes I know it would be more accurate to use fuel burned per minute, but that's to difficult to figure out and this is a good enough approximation.)

No, I enjoy getting out of the house once a week or so and doing my errands. I will say that I combine as many of them as possible to save on time and gas. I work at home and don't get out much.
