A simple question.

The human population is expected to peak at approximately 9 billion individuals. That peak is expected to be reached in approximately 50 years time. After that the population is expected to begin declining and ill eventually stabilise at around 2 billion people.

Or in short we will almost all live to see the population peak. Eventually the world population will be approximately 1/3 of what it is today.

This population peak has nothing whatsoever to do with food shortages. It is a simple consequence of a healthy global economy and increasing standards of living. As people become richer and have more food and less disease they also have fewer children. As a consequence the population declines.

Population growth is a function of availability of food. Our population will stop growing when we stop increasing our food production. If we keep production at the same level the population will stabilize at its current level. If we slowly reduce the amount of food we produce the population will decline. This has been proved in numerous scientific experiments with other animal populations. We prove it each year by producing more food and then being surprised when the population increases. Until we realize that we are subject to the same laws that govern all the other forms of life on the planet we will not be able to do anything about the population.

China has 1.2 billions of population. It is estimated one out of five is Chinese. So 1.2X5=6, the world's population is 6 billions today.
I think 8 to 10 billions will be the peak, at about the middle of this century.

Everything in Life is composed of checks and balances. The cycle of life will run its course as it was originally intended, and not before then. We will all eventually move into a different form; making room for the new...and then it repeats itself into an indeterminate space and time...known only to the Creator. It is a very natural process and there is no real answer to your question.
