To a degree humans are in charge of their own destiny. We have the power of choice and will but there are also things that occur than we have no power over and it is like a greater power is guiding us to our destiny individually and as a whole race. I know we do things that are very destructive to ourselves and to our world and it looks like we are destroying ourselves but the power of life is very strong and we will survive. People probably asked themselves that same question years ago because things looked bad but here we are.

Why would we do something like that?
Mother Nature, might destroy us. We aren't going to destroy ourselves. Are you worried about global warming? Why? Millions of people retire to Florida. People WANT warmer weather.
Yes, the sea levels will rise, but as long as it's a slow process then no problem. In America buildings are usually torn down before they get old anyway. We'll just rebuild on higher ground.

I believe we can change our destiny. you choose your path. life is about choice. we dont have a crystal ball to look into and see what happens if we do this or decide not to do this. The best way is making good choices and listen to your heart, pay attention to your surroundings, lots of praying, and being intuned with yourself.

We are, to a certain extent.
If we do destroy ourselves, it won't be in the near future.....and unfortunately we'll all have had a hand in doing so...

No, but ironically, women are in charge of both theirs and men's destinies...You really should work on gender nutrality in your statements so that you can join us in the new millenium.
